I have never been a runner. The mere thought of running gave me the heebie jeebies! Lol. However, I have always been envious of runners' bodies and watched my cousin change her body and life so much by doing a similar program. She is now running 10Ks. I am in my second week of C25K and I am doing things (and enjoying…

This was posted today and they sound pretty yummy. I am sure that the ingredients can be modified to suit a vegan! Good luck! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/346868-video-of-me-making-high-protein-pb-balls

I agree! The Alec Baldwin version would have been hilarious!

I use the vanilla creme in my coffee. I just got it this past week and love it!

I have done days 1 & 2 now. I have taken measurements and even took before photos. I don't really want to post them publicly though. lol :blushing:

I have the Nordictrack A2750 Pro. I love it. It has an iPod connection with speakers in the treadmill, a fan, and a screen. It is iFit compatible. We purchased it because Runners World magazine said it was the best 'bang for your buck' and it won awards. I have never owned a treadmill before and have never been a gym…

Sigh - lol I didn't think that people on this forum needed the long version. Yes, it is quite a bit simplified. I never said that the production of insulin was due to a single food item in a single meal. Feel free to educate everyone kind sir.

Foods that have a higher glycemic index spike the blood sugar; whereas food with a lower glycemic index do not spike it. It gently rises and falls back to normal. Eating low glycemic foods helps to keep the blood sugar more consistent. When we spike the blood sugar our bodies produce a lot of insulin to take the high…

I am not on a GI diet, but am trying to eat more low GI foods.

I started today! Good luck!

I started today. One day down!

The Pro app is what I have on my iPad, I believe. It is the one that I mentioned actually says run or walk. I personally like it much better than just the alarm notification on the free app. I also log my progress and post it to Facebook. I am new to MFP (and to C25K) but this was my way of keeping myself accountable. With…

I have the C25K app on my phone. I believe there is a free version for Android. Wear headphones and the Android app will sound an alert when you change from walk to run and vice versa. There is a paid version that I have on my iPad (I use my treadmill) and it actually verbally says run or walk. Good luck!

Congrats! So awesome!

"A small number of older and controversial rat studies found some association between high consumption and decreased fertility, lower birth weight and cancer. However, more recent research including a 2006 World Health Organization analysis found no evidence of negative health impact. Additionally, no health issues have…

30 Day Shred seems to be great. I have decided to go ahead and pick it up in the next couple of days and start it Monday as I go into week 2 of C25K! Thank you!

I do have dance training, but that was a long time ago! I don't think I would have any issue with the ballet workout other than it seems a little boring... I have decided to try 30 Day Shred and combine it with the C25K program that I am doing. I will always have my ballet workout on hand too. Thank you so much for your…

I have also been trying to figure out my personal plan. I started C25K this past week and am going to add in 30 Day Shred this coming week. I purchased the New York City Ballet Workout because I heard it was pretty good and I have always loved dance, but it seems like there are so many people doing the 30 Day Shred, many…

WOW! You are Wonder Woman! I will stick with C25K and 30 Day Shred to start... haha

I am totally inspired by this! My biggest concern was being tired or worn out when I did C25K if I did them on the same day. I will give it a shot! I can always change it up. Thank you SO much!
-
AWESOME! Maybe I will combine them on the same days too. Any reason why you chose to do them on the same day versus alternating them?

Stevia isn't artificial or fake though. It is from a natural sweet leaf.

It's definitely not for everyone. Every single one of my friends that I brought as a guest never returned. :ohwell:

I can totally relate! My boyfriend and I do not share the same views on the way that we should eat. He hates vegetables, but loves burgers, steaks, pastas, pizza and soda. Mountain Dew to be exact! There is always ice cream around and usually cookies. It makes it SO hard to stay on track, plus I worry about him. Like you I…

I always make my own taco shells by spritzing a corn tortilla with just a little canola oil and a very light dusting of chili powder. I drape them over the wires of the oven rack and bake at 350* until they are crispy. I learned about this with a healthy taco recipe at Eating Well. Much healthier than store bought taco…

Hi there! I am new too. I am really liking it! Good luck to you!

Hi there! I actually used to practice Bikram yoga and have tried other forms of yoga. Bikram is in a hot room with humidity. It is REALLY tough (and expensive), but I was in the best shape and felt amazing. I have a bulging disc and the disc slips causing a lot of pain. When I do yoga, I don't have issues with my back…

I broke up with Coke and then fell in love with a sweetened iced tea! Ugh! Now, I need to break that off. :brokenheart:
