I'm not a vegetarian - but I love to try satisfying veggie dishes. Quinoa is a huge amazing discovery I've just found is really versatile. Use it in place of rice or couscous for the protein punch.

Eat clean, Drink your water, keep on losing and your whole body sill shrink. No magic food combos, wild exercise moves or other tricks will shrink any one part of your body.

although some would consider this counter productive - Cheeseburger Happy Meal.

Impact free cardio might help - like biking or swimming hard.

I hear you. I've had many days where I felt like that. Weeks at a time where I made no progress and even gained. Even last week I gained. Please don't be discouraged. Drink your water and eat your veggies, and start again tomorrow. You did not get fat overnight and will not be skinny in one week. Hang in there!

That is wise advice (above) however... A cheeseburger happy meal can always break my plateaus! And I think it's a great "treat" - by loosing 80lbs she has surely learned that this is a VERY RARE food. (also delicious) Way to go! Have both! (cheeseburger and a facial!)

I really like President's Choice Blue Menu Chicken and Pesto with Whole Wheat Rotini... also their Blue Menu Chicken Tikka Masala is so good. Both under 400 cals!

I hear you on that one - seems to me like every time there is announcement/meeting/event at work - there is cake EVERYWHERE. I just decided that calorie wise, i'd rather have a HUGE bowl of cereal so I felt like I ate something instead of biting into a lardy flour and sugar pile. :/

also - make sure your electrodes are wet. I have been known to lick them before I put mine on if I'm in a hurry :indifferent: , but a wet kleenex will do. make sure it's not shifting, and once i had my strap too tight so the band rolled up and flipped so the electrodes were not in contact with my skin. try all that - then…

Awesome! If it's around 1300 cal would you be willing to share? :)

I had an issue where the treadmill I was on was set up to read Polar transmitters, and so it threw my reciever (watch) off! I thought that's what the function was supposed to prevent, but it only happened once and although it may not have read my HR correctly for about 3 minutes, I was in a line of about 15 of these…

agreed. Freaking out is not part of a productive path to my long term goals, so when i weighed in after a crappy pre-period week and had gained 3 pounds, I picked myself up, dusted myself off, and started over again (the next day) *song shamlessly stolen from Anita O'Day.

LOVE MY F6! Bought it as a v-day present to myself and it's amazing! I really appreciate the "Own Code" function that reduces (but does not eliminate :grumble: ) Cross Talk from other monitors and equipment in the gym. It's awesome!

Plan plan plan. You could enter in all your food for the next day, the night before, so you plan to eat in a balanced way, spreading out your calories etc, getting all your food groups in, etc. It's more like a mental check once you've eaten something tomorrow that you can verify. And, if you exercise tomorrow, you can eat…

Good luck to you - there are many people on here who share your struggles, I used to work a similar shift... (11 till 7) I had no children to run after, but another job that required me up and back out for 4 hrs in the afternoon. planning is the only thing that helped me... packing up lots of healthy snacks to eat at those…

Cheese might be the answer - I'm hoping for cheese :)

Same as Tam - 1370 on non workout days and up to 1900 depending on what I have burned.

Thrice. This is like posting a link to the joys of heroin on a fourm for people who are trying to kick a heroin habit! I'm honestly hungry after looking at that.

My ticker reflects my WL from my fattest point in recent memory (234lbs) That was also the first time I saw my trainer, August 08. So - my WL since joining MFP is less, but has been more consistent. Good luck all!

SUSHI tonight :) Very excited. I LOVE Edamame and tuna, salmon and octopus sashimi. Most raw assortments are quite low in calories, until you get into oily fishies like makerel and eel. I can usually eat a very satisfying sushi dinner for less than 600 cal.

When I'm hungry, (or think i'm hungry), I have 2 glasses of ice cold water. Usually that does it. If i'm still hungry 5 mins after the water, I usually go for a little 100g pot of silhouette yogurt with the fruit chunks in it - only 40 cals and has the right combo of protein and carbs for me. And, measuring your portions…

Yep. It's really good.

PB & Kraft Cheese Slices. Or, Blueberry Jam and Kraft Cheese Slices. Alternatively, PB & Bacon. never toasted.

very good question, I'm wondering this too. I'm about to pick up my heart rate monitor tomorrow, and would like to know how to better use my more accurate calorie count. I was thinking that my current program which involves 5 mins high intensity cardio then 3 x super-sets of weights then more cardio, more weights, etc - I…

Bravo! Tonight I ate out too... at Montana's Cookhouse (aka the Saturated Fat Depot) I ate half of my entree (Baked Chicken Penne), about 1/3 of my boyfriend's desert, and still managed to have 130 cals left over for the day. (Thanks to an hour of interval training on the treadmill this morning).

Also - I'd recommend you talk to a Nutritionist or a Dietitian. The "Doctor" can only know so much about all things... there's no way every doctor (especially Family Doctors or GP's) can know everything about everything people ask them. Sometimes, and I've had this experience, asking a doctor for weight loss advice can be…

I'd go with the jello/whip/popcorn. In Canada at least, I find the jello cheesecakes aspartame-ey.

I'm sure lots of people have had days like this. I have had lots! The thing I do when I fly off the wagon, is get up the next day and get back on. Tomorrow will be better, drink your water, eat your veggies and try again. Once I let go of guilt for things that I felt I had little control over, food didn't make me sick and…
