I completely agree. I tried with this site twice before and never stuck with it, but this time I have added some encouraging friends and it really helps me be accountable to know that they are going to see my log and what I eat and cheer me on what I make good progress!

You may likely lose the weight in that 7 days, but as soon as you start eating adequate calories again your body will adjust and you'll gain the weight back. I think there are some good ideas to that plan like not having soda, sugar, white carbs or processed food, but lean meat and fish in moderation is good for you, as is…

I do this too. It usually ends up to be around 400 calories.

Having a baby does wierd stuff to your body. A week after I had my 3rd I weighed 8lbs less than I did before I was pregnant (thanks to some gnarly nausea and food aversions), but I was wearing a pants size bigger. As you lose weight you should balance out a little better, but you may find that you tend to carry more fat…

I completely agree with this!

Oh I also like protein pancakes 1 cup oats 2 egg whites 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder 1/2 cup non fat vanilla greek yogurt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking powder. Put all in blender and blend until smooth. Cook like regualr pancakes. You can add in fruit liked chopped apples or mashed bananas, and veggies like…

I'm trying to up my protein too. I make protein shakes for breakfast that have 27-30 grams of protein. Some other non meat ways to get protein are greek yogurt, eggs, nuts, beans, edamame, natural pb. I don't reach my goal of 150, but I do get over 100 grams everyday.

Yum! Thanks for posting :)

I think it depends on how well you would be able to control it to one cheat meal. When I first started out I would not have been able to eat one cheat meal and then get back on track the rest of the day. My mentality would have been oh well the day is already ruined I'll just start again tomorrow. And then I would keep…

I made some last night that tasted like carrot cake. 1cup oats 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder 1/2 cup vanilla non fat greek yogurt 1 teaspooon baking soda 2 egg whites 1/2tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup chopped carrots 1/4 cup grated carrots Blend all but grated carrots until smooth. Stir in grated carrots (add a few chopped walnuts…

Are you excercising too? It might be that you need to stretch your calves more. I was a dancer for 13 years and I would frequently get middle of the night leg cramps. Try doing some stretches before bed and see if it helps.

Eggs, oatmeal, beans, in season produce, Fish, chicken and turkey is almost always on sale and that's a good time to stock up. For yogurt buy the large tubs instead of individual cups and then portion it into your own containers.

I looked at your profile and we live very close :) Have you ever gone on any of the local fitness trails? There are lots in our county that are beautiful and have lakes, streams, animals and wetlands to see. Most of them also begin or end at a park. Also Harrison Elementary has a wonderful fitness trail. Your family can…

My toddler goes absolutely nuts for hummus and her fav lunch is a bunch of veggies to dip in hummus. Natural PB is a great dip for fruit. Light string cheese, and hardboiled eggs are good too. I make a homemade trail mix for my kiddos with raw nuts, dried fruit and some dark chocolate chips. My kids really like smoothies…

I'd love to hear how people answer this question too. I told my hubby last night after I lose some more weight I'm going to make a trip to the medical spa and see what they can do about tightening my skin as I lose so I don't end up with a bunch of saggy skin once I reach my goal weight.

I am blessed with a brilliant friend who is a nutritionist! At our last girls night out she spent about 30 minutes answering my questions and giving me advice. I didn't get a specific plan from her, and if I wanted one I would make sure to schedule an appointment so as to not take advantage, but I did get tons of tips that…

You are not eating only a gram or 2 of fat everyday. You have yours set to SATURATED FAT not FAT. There are different types of fat that make up your total fat consumed and saturated fat is only one. You should go to settings and change it from saturated fat to fat. I checked your diary briefly and trust me if you are…

Definately a gentle cleanse. You won't have any stomach cramping or unpleasant side effects. Also you won't be spending your day on the pot, but maybe two to three times per day.

I love the products! They are a little pricey for me though. I use spark since I don't drink any soda or coffee and it gives me a great energy boost when I am dragging.

Hummus and TONS of fresh veggies!

Totally me too! Since I've been trying to lose weight and have healthier habits I refuse to eat based on my emotions anymore. I just remind myself of what my goals are and that making an unhealthy food choice will only make me feel worse in the end. It might be hard at first, but really after a week my appetite had…

Yes 3500 is WAY too much. Exclusively nursing requires 500 calories per day. But, that would also mean she was nursing 8-12 times per day. If the baby is eating baby food or being supplemented with formula and only nursing 3 times a day she is likely only burning 100-200 calories. I was told by my lactation consultant that…

I'm 5'11" and I've never worn high heels. The whole point of them is to make you appear tall and for legs to look longer. I'm already tall with long legs so I feel no need for them.

It is different for everyone and depends on the elastcity of your skin. Losing at a slower steady rate will definately be better. If you are prone to stretch marks you probably don't have the best elasticity. Don't let fear of loose skin keep you from losing weight. There are so many benefits to your health and unless you…

I agree that it is rude and instead of leaving comments people can just disregard the post. But I have to admit it gets a little old seeing the same questions asked over and over. I know they can be different for different people's situations but things like "can I count diet soda/coffee/tea as water?," "Do I have to eat…

Sounds delish!

 Thanks for posting this chart. As a protein shake drinker myself I have been wondering what is the best type of powder. I personally drink either whey or soy and it looks like they are both good choices. And for the original poster, I think protein shakes can be a great addititon to your diet as a meal replacement…

I LOVE the Sara Lee Lower sodium turkey breast. I'm kind of a lunch meat snob and only buy the good deli stuff because anything else tastes gross and slimy to me. The Sara Lee is very flavorful. It's a little pricey, but very worth it :)
