I only log pre-workout if it will finish after midnight and I want to make sure it counts on the right day. I don't have any problem with others doing it.

I eat my calories back. I have since I started. I was losing for the first 15 pounds while eating calories back. I haven't lost as much lately, but I didn't work out enough before Christmas and ate over my calories several times.

You can get face down in plank/push up position. Reach under with one one toward the other side, then alternate. Keep your abs tight.

If you don't have any other health concerns, you should be okay with just calories. If you have a history of high blood pressure, watch your sodium. If cholesterol, watch fat. Etc. I would recommend that you also try to get enough fiber. I was surprised at how easy it is to get once I read about where to find it.

We're both pretty close to 6-feet tall, so that shouldn't be a problem. I don't know that I would have thought about that though. Thanks for the help.

Haven't tried one of those, but they seem to be quite a bit more expensive than the others we've priced. I like the idea of one if I find it cheaper.

IMO there is no such thing as Karma. We have guilt from things that we regret. I think that when we feel bad about something, it affects our actions moving forward. Skim milk is a great way to get lots of nutrients without a lot of calories (80-90 cals per cup). Your body can absorb more efficiently after a workout, so it's a good time to get something healthy.

I was running a 10 mile race once and a guy caught up to me and read the back of my sweatshirt. It said 'State Champs.' He asked if it was track or cross country. When I told him it was marching band, he said he couldn't lose to a clarinet and took off. (I didn't play clarinet, and I didn't catch him again.)

I always run with music. I normally run outside, but I think it's easy enough to see cars coming with headlights. I also wear a reflective vest and carry a light when it's dark.

I don't think we are locked in to the guidelines, but most people need help getting started. I think it's very healthy to make your goals personal. I set mine after a health screen at work. I get most of my support/motivation from friend comments. Feel free to add me if you want.
