I just hope they don't go on for years on end. I'm already sleep deprived because ot them. I really don't want to take HRT either! I'm afraid I'll cave eventually though, because this is miserable!!

I have tried the Estroven, which has soy and black cohosh, but I saw no change. I took it for one month! Flax seed is supposed to be helpful, but I haven't been remembering to add it to my food. I haven't really tried soy in food yet. I don't want to do HRT, but if I keep having so many of the hot flashes at night, I may…

Yes, insomnia is a huge part of menopause for a lot of women!! I can get to sleep, I just can't stay asleep!! Grrrr..........

Auntie was always mean to me, so I would rather have hot flashes over excruciating cramps any ole day. That's one reason why I don't want to go on HRT, because I'm afraid it will bring HER back!!!

Mine are sometimes like a chlosterphobic feeling; like I have to get some air now!!! Maybe that's what is happening with you. Kind of like a panice attack!

Check your sodium intake too. That will cause you to retain fluid and weigh more!!

Do you mean Tempurpedic? We tested that one. It's really pricey and I was afraid that it would get mashed down over time! I don't know! A lot of people like them!

I started back two weeks ago with Leslie! I go outside for walks too. I can only manage the warm up and 14 minute walk for now. I'm hoping to build it up to do more though!!

The only problem that my mother had was dryness of the vagina and I can't believe she even told me that! LOL! My biggest issue has been the awful hot flashes. I don't want to take HRT and I'm hoping they become fewer over time! One can only hope!

I've heard the weight watchers is really good, because you aren't denied any food. On this site it calculates how many calories you need and you get extra for exercise, so you can keep track pretty easily if you are good at logging!

I take the generic of Synthroid; Levothyroxine, and it's only $4 at Walmart!

I do the Leslie Sansone walk DVDs and try to do it in shorter increments. You can do a one mile walk in 14 minutes. She has a warm up to do right before that. I don't try to push myself beyond that most days. If it's nice out, I sometimes go out for a walk and limit that to about 30 minutes.

If I don't sleep well at night, I'm able to catch a nap in the afternoons most days. Even if it's a short nap, it helps recharge me!
