Thatusername.. thanks for the encouraging words! You are spot on with your assessment and I so appreciate knowing its not just me and reminded myself that there are more good days than bad! THANK YOU!

Lorna & Suzy - I'm right there with you and looking for commenters that can keep me motivated & connected with mfp. Look for a friend request from me, too

It can be so eye-opening to log, right! A few years back I started with a "logging trial" too. I got hooked and stayed on and consistent for 6 months- year and met my weightloss goal. Once I stopped and a few years passed I gained it all back and then some. So I'm back and always looking for people to comment and provide…

At least you had an excuse! I totally binged last night; I guess after 3 weeks of logging I was starting to feel deprived. I need to focus on a better balance that doesn't leave me feeling that way. Here's to a new week... we've both got this!

This is perfect! My next mini goal is to weigh 150 by my family holiday party on December 17, so here goes: Oct 24: 160.2 - let's do this! Oct 31: 159.6 - i admit, i've been splurging with eating out & halloween candy. gotta get back on track! Nov 07: Nov 14: Nov 21: Nov 28: Dec 05: Dec 12: Dec 19:

Happy Monday, everyone! As 2nd week weigh-ins start coming in, remember, "Your speed doesn't matter. Forward is forward."

Thank you! I've been going strong for 10 days now and try to like or comment on others daily. Lack of reciprocation is starting to de-motivate me! I am looking for "active chatty-cathy types". I know they are out there and I can't wait to find them!

I love how you add new techniques over time! So great that you have planned ways to meet your goal and continue to challenge yourself. You've got this!

Happy to find a thread of motivated ladies in their 30s! My cw is 160 and my goal is 130 (ish). Would love to find others that log regularly and provide positive support. Please send a note in a friend request if you have similar goals. Good luck, all!

I'm 5'2" and my current weight is 160 - looking to get down to 130ish as well! I had a lot of success a few years ago on mfp, but slacked and gained everything back and then some. I'm looking for people who log on regularly to motivate me. Happy to do the same for you

I'm 5'2.5"; hope I still make the cut  I had success on mfp a few years ago and now i'm back looking to lose 30-35lbs. Hoping to find people who log & post regularly to encourage me to do the same. Please send any introductions/friend requests my way if you are looking for similar motivation. Thanks and good luck,…

I'd have to agree with mygrl4meee; personally what I love about MFP is that it is not a diet, not a fad. You don't have to totally struggle with a change in your life, you just cut back little by little and start making small, but better choices. And over time you see the results. It really helped me when I lost 30 pounds…

Hmm... I don't know if the foods contribute to my weight loss, but things that have kept me satisfied, full or better versions of what I used to eat include: Oatmeal - as Angie stated, filling and heart friendly Eggs - A couple times a week, I'd include these in breakfast, usually boiled, sometimes scrambled or an omelet…

LOVE these! One of my resolutions with my husband this year was to have date night/day at least once per month. Other ideas we have are: cycling (in the summer we always spend a morning stopping for coffee and exploring a new bike trail) canoeing a day at the beach & swimming an amusement park (like a six flags) a…

I can 'see' it ;) Seriously though, I noticed that when I started MFP and measured out my portions they were much smaller than what I used to have on my plate AND I did feel just as full. Also a lot of what and how we eat have more to do with other factors than they do with what truly fulfills us. Comfort foods usually end…

Thanks everyone! Thankfully, my mood has not been affected at all, so I'm not worried about winter bringing me down. I do think my eating habits have changed though, as I've started to feel more comfortable with my weight and as long as 'unhealthy' things fit into my totals for the day, I've been eating them.…

Lately my 'treat' to myself has been new clothes. My old ones don't fit anymore and getting a new pair of jeans or shirt to show off my progress really makes me smile :)

LOL- maybe! I hate being cold. And I am craving mac & cheese! grr.

I LOVE cooking and trying new, healthy recipes! Here's one I posted on my blog a couple weeks back: Healthy Black Bean-Hominy Chili from USA Weekend - Cook Smart Great recipe we made for dinner tonight! I used lower-sodium varieties of everything and it turned out delicious :) Ingredients: 1 quart good quality vegetable…

My Venting.... I've been doing so well, but every time I succeed mfp lowers my daily calories. Well, I've been doing pretty good - right around my goal of 1200 calories - more or less. Only every time I'm more, even by a little bit, I dont' get the satisfaction from mfp to say I was under my goal for the day. seriously…

Umm, can I just ditto what you all said? lol
