I totally agree with the little goal increments! When I first started, I was 147 and had pretty much given up on ever losing the weight that had been with me for 4 years. I set my first goal at 130 - because I felt, even that was ambitious, considering I could never drop out of the 140s. Early on I told myself that I…

Hi Everyone! Thanks for the invite, AngieG33!!!! I'm happy to find motivated mfp people! My specific interests are healthy, tasty foods. I'm often trying new recipes and looking to share. I also love supportive, encouraging friends. I look forward to getting to know the group - feel free to add if you need a friend to post…

Fabulous - thanks for sharing your 'big deal' :)

Hey Everyone! I'm on the verge of dropping into the 120s and could use some extra 'cheerleaders'. If you are interested in becoming mfp friends I'll do my best to support you toward your goals, too :)

I think it is great that you are doing your research about breeds AND that you plan to adopt from a shelter. I think if you go into the shelter with some clear ideas on what you are looking for in a dog (size, energy, shedding, age and behavior traits you do not want), that will really help you find the right dog for you,…

Yay - Just joined my first challenge with the group - I was a week late, but I'll still jump right in :) Thanks for offering these!

1.5 months in and about 10 lbs down, people whom I haven't seen in a while have noticed and said something. I haven't seen them since I started, so to them the 10lbs was different. To my coworkers, 1-1.5lbs a week might be tougher to tell; and I'm sure it's not always easy for people to bring up the subject of your weight.

If there is any way I can help, let me know! I spent my first month on MFP focusing on finding balance with my food. My mindset was not to cut out the things I love, but to find ways to make my overall day within my limits. Often that means I plan my meals or enter my food in before I eat to see where that puts me. I've…

Yay! I'm almost 2 months in and this is my first MFP group. I feel right at home. 5'2.5" and my name is Crystal :) I'm going from 147.4 to 126- and am almost half-way there. Go Shorties!

I do plan my dinners for the week. I search for new and tasty recipes and post the menu on our refrigerator. It actually helps everyone look forward to the meal - the anticipation actually puts us in the mood for it. And it keeps me on track, makes grocery shopping tons easier, too.

Everything sounds so good! I've also done chicken tenders with either cornflake crust or almond coating. The cornflake recipe I followed was: http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/cook-yourself-thin/recipes/oven-baked-crispy-chicken-tenders-with-coleslaw

My mom and I have both been using MFP for over a month now and it's funny (and sometimes frustrating) to hear the things my husband and dad say. They are both supportive, don't get me wrong, but it can be hard to have goals that differ from those around you. My husband said to me the other day, "You are doing great, but I…

You've come so far and that is nothing to cry about! I'm sure we will all have our days, or weeks, but we've proven we can do it. get back on track when you can. take baby steps if you have to. you are amazing :)

Thanks for sharing your story. You are doing what so many of us what to do. Great to see it can be done! Nice work :)

I'm wondering the same thing about myself. I'm at about 5lb lost (out of 25) and I can feel it, but not yet see it. I think I might take some photos along the way to compare. In the meantime - I know that my pants don't feel as tight so something is changing!

Hi Pat! I did the same thing. From your Home Page, click on "Check-In", this is where you can add new weights and edit previous entries. You'll see a link to edit a previous entry/weight near the bottom.
