Welcome! You'll love it here! :)

Absolutely not! Go ahead and bring whatever you need to stay on track. I completely understand too. My friends who are not eating healthy get frustrated when they try to order food with me. Just make whatever allowances you need and enjoy yourself. Don't worry about them, they are the ones eating 300 (or more!) calories…

Perfect! I'm in. I have fallen away from MPF for the last couple months and was looking for a goal to get me back! My first challenge and I can't wait to drop those extra 10 pounds!
-
Congratulations!! I can't wait until i can say that! btw - tittle town...you by any chance from GB?
-
Congratulations!!! It took me 8 years to finish my degree. I went part time while I worked full time so I do understand how the bench marks are wonderful to hit! And kudos to you for having the perseverance to sit on the 3 year wait list for the RN program. A lot of people see that and probably decide to do something else.…

Congratulations! That is a great feeling. I used to air dry almost all my clothes for the same reason. I knew I was really on my path to weightloss when I started to purposely dry my clothes so that they didn't fall off me anymore!

You look great! And so does the stock car (looked like a late model??) and John Deere blanket in the background! Leave it to the Wisconsin girl to see those things as well as the great weight loss! Keep up the great work!

My parents live in Branson (just moved from Hollister) and they love it. They've lived there since 2003. We are all from Wisconsin, but I live in Chicago now. I get down there to see them a couple times a year. I enjoy visiting, so I can see why you wouldn't choose Cali over Mo!

First, congrats on your weight loss! 23 pounds is a great accomplishment! It is always hard when people don't support you, or worse yet, try to sabotage you. But it is even harder when it is family. It sounds like you have a very supportive husband, which is wonderful. You are on the right thinking, it is their problem,…

I use it to thicken up smoothies in the morning. Also adds a great amount of protein to them and with it blended up you won't notice the consistency.

Great catch, that's the perfect answer! As long as you burn the remainder of the calories both days, then you can have the best of both worlds! And I bet you would see a big result!

Where has this thread been all of my (myfitnesspall)life???? I enjoy drinking and lost most of my 45 pounds while doing it more than regularly. I'm not quite sure how, and its not that I would recommend it, but it worked for me! Maybe its those sturdy German/Irish Wisconsin genes I got running through me! haha Thanks for…

Just think of it this way...if you drink coffee that is grown in Africa could would actually be supporting them as well! I'm with you, I can't give up the coffee. But, Kenyan coffee is great!

Congrats on the 40 pounds Elvia! And I hope you are as excited to give that number to the DMV as I was!!
-
Where are you from in WI? I'm from there too!
-
That is EXACTLY how he said it. He definitely held the oh so delightful attitude of a disgruntled long term DMV employee. I thought it was funny too! They must be so used to people lying about their weight!

I usually log between 500 to 600 calories depending on how many poses I sit out on any given day. It really gets your heart pumping, I love it! And, I KNOW I've burned that many calories because I am starving ALL day when I go to yoga. My body burns the calories and is begging to be refueled!

   Oh, but the longing for a new tattoo....I'm close to my next one. It is hard waiting for it. But, the best advice I ever heard was from a tattoo artist who said, "The best tattoo artist only uncovers something that was already there." That is how I felt with all my tattoos. I have two partial quotes…

I would give it more time. The body doesn't always react so quickly when you eliminate a food. Maybe if you give it at least another week you would be really able to see if the cutting out milk has an effect. I drink almond milk myself and have found that not drinking regular milk has greatly helped my sinus problem!

Wow! That is the best thought I have read in a long time! What a great way to shore yourself up against all of those people who appear jealous of the weightloss! Thanks!:flowerforyou:

Hi there, I know it's confusing, but trust me, it works! Take a look at this link... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/10589-for-those-confused-or-questioning-eating-your-exercise-calo Good luck!

Wow! 50 pounds! Great job, I can't wait until my ticker says that! If that isn't enough motivation I don't know what is. Let all the people around you eat all that stuff, stay strong!
-
What a great attitude to start with! With a perspective like that you will be sure to succeed. Best of luck and be sure to use your support community here on mfp! We're here for you.

It's a great feeling when people notice the hard work you are doing! Keep it up! The feeling of people noticing keeps getting better and better as you continue, I promise!

Glad you found Bikram! I have been a fan of it for a couple years now. I always log 500 to 600 for my sessions, depending on how hard I feel I worked, if I sat out more poses than usual, etc. 180 is WAY to low for 90 mins of that much exertion and sweating. You can just feel your heart pumping during class! The other…

Boo to that! I'm a teacher so your candy is the stuff I'm trying to avoid! And really, no pun intended with the boo! haha

Just in case you are interested, I get mine from Sunrider. They tend to be on the more expensive side, but I trust the company not to put junk in their herbs. http://shop.sunrider.com/Shop/Product_51.asp?group_id=2&dept_id=12&pf_id=43&Return=/shop/display_dept.asp?group_id=2&dept_id=12&viewall=viewall&Cols=0

I use white willow bark for the inflammation in my back. Here is a link to the University of Maryland site about it. I usually trust education sources when looking for information. I definitely avoid ones trying to sell me something  http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/willow-bark-000281.htm Hope you find something…

I know it sounds weird, but either avocado or dates will thicken smoothies without adding much taste. Avo might not be the best bet if you are trying to cut calories thought. You could also just throw in plain ice cubes. The chopped ice will make it thicker.

This site looks great! Thanks! I always have problems with dinner too, so this will help.
