Me too! I mix it with black coffee and a little bit of milk so I have an instant creamy-tasting indulgent drink every morning without adding sugar. Absolutely love it.

Thanks for your feedback, how long did it take to arrive? I'm waiting (im)patiently for mine, quite silly how I feel this excited simply to receive a fitness gadget....

Any of you got fallen arches (on feet) or flat feet? Apparently that might be a factor in the clicky knee stakes.
-
At least your docs gave it a name - I shall look Crepitus up now. Sounds like we have the same thing.... Do you find when it gets colder, they have a sharp pain when you put more weight on one knee than the other (walking down the stairs of an outdoor train station in the cold weather, for instance)? That's when I worry,…

Well said! I couldn't agree more.

Yes! My knees are so incredibly clicky, I find it a huge problem. They've been like this since I was in my late teens (I turn 30 in 2 weeks) still have no idea why. They make a crunching noice, like the cartilage is being crunched, every single time I bend them. It's become a real hindrance as sometimeas I feel like my…

I wanted to be at my fittest and looking my best by the time I turn 30 - which is in 2 weeks time. :frown:  :noway:

I'm the same. I usually don't get home from work and gym until around 8:30pm...so, by the time I actually get to eat, it's really late...I like to cook fresh most nights and I enjoy a glass of wine before dinner most nights. It hasn't stopped me from losing weight so it can't be that bad, I think it is a myth.

I've tried this several times and each time I've given myself a few months of unsweetened good quality tea and coffee. However, I still go back to sweetening these drinks every time, I just can't get used to it. However, If I have a low fat brownie, chocolate, fruit cake or something sweet, then I always drink the tea…

I recently discovered xylitol - sounds horrible but is natural...good for your teeth as well. Has half the amount of calories as sugar and is exactly the same texture (unlike that powdered canderel stuff which dissolves like snow) so it even retains that crunch you get from white sugar, I love it. I had some really unripe…

Same here, I posted an HRM thread today as well! Found the Argos one and it's got 4.5 stars out of 5, written by 35 different reviewers so cant be that bad. Wondered though...does the Lloyds one actually tell you the cals burned? or just gives your heart rate?

Is Polar better than Garmin, sorry for all these questions :blushing: all this advice is so sound.
-
$30/£30 extra for the cycling tracker attachment thing actually might really be useful, I cycle 5 x a week between 25 - 40 mins each time and then do spinning once/twice a week so would it be worth it you reckon?
-
Whilst looking online for a Polar HRM - I found this.....not bad price at all (to my surprise) includes chest strap and has pretty good reviews (35 of them) anyone ever used or seen one before?…
-
Really sound advice and input. I do agree that the reps do seem a bit fast at times. I can see how that affects your form and how it winds up you using more momentum as opposed to controlled strength. The only problem is, at my gym, all the weights and machines sections are constantly full of men in groups who not only hog…
-
Such helpful feedback everyone, really appreicate your advice! I've decided I'm definitely going for a Polar with chest strap, it'll really come in handy for years to come so I've no doubt that it will be used day in day out. Knowing this, it'll most certainly be a very worthwhile investment.
-
Also - I cycle a lot....do you think a Fitbit would be able to track calories burned doing that?
-
Thanks so much for your input guys. I think chest strap HRM is the way forward. I want it to be as accurate as possible basically, but they all just seem too costly right now. It'll be worth it in the long run I guess. By the way....that Fitbit actually looks brilliant - love it - who knows anyone that has one (or indeed…

anyone able to help with this?

It's not lame. I get what you mean, but do you drink for the effect mainly or for the taste? For me, after half a glass of red, not only do I savour the taste, but I start to feel my elbows and knees relaxing and already feel more chilled. So 2 x half glasses (I like to pretend they are full glasses) a night and that's me…
