oooh, fantastic! aaaaand?

WOW! Fantastic work! I am half tempted to get a gym membership now and start NR!!! You have every right to be proud and let it go right to your head.

I am SO curious about the Bod Pod! I heard about it on fat2fitradio.com --who, btw, have a great podcast about EMTWL http://www.fat2fitradio.com/2009/12/fat-2-fit-83-eat-more-weight-less/ I would love to hear your feedback. I looked into getting it done in NYC, but naturally it was between $150-300 and that is just not in…

That's fantastic! Do you mind mentioning what your caloric intake was prior to May 17th? You are a fine example of having to wait it out a bit and letting your body adjust. I look forward to hearing more progress updates!

I live in New York and it has been hot and balmy lately. I am guessing the weather is a bit warmer and clammier in MD, no? There is nothing less attractive than a sweaty day when every skirt or dress leads to the dreaded "Chub Rub" and shorts and pants bunch up. It's the worst. But I look at your ticker and I am so in awe…

I have been going with a 15% cut (2134) but mostly aiming for around 1900 cals a day-often going over by about 100 or so. I guess I have been hitting a range of 1900-2100. Full TDEE is 2511, which frankly terrifies me to no end. I am doing Tracy Anderson Continuity-just the mat / strength exercises, not the cardio, so it…

ok....I thought i went through the initial bloat then unbloat phase, but i guess this is the gain phase. i will do it for a few more weeks, up to 8 weeks, but then what? right now i am eating at a cut so it ends up being around 2000. without cut would be 2400ish. this science is crazymaking.
-
agreed. this post was more disturbing than the prospect of seeing an unclothed person trying to better themselves at the gym. notice how their account is deactivated? good riddance.
-
That's a good idea. I was looking into sets on Craigslist.org, but wasn't sure if it would be worth it, even with small storage space. Thanks for the feedback! How heavy are the new weights?
-
I haven't re-measured in about two weeks. The last time I did my numbers went up a small amount --eeek! I really need to jump on this New Rules bandwagon, but I am wondering how I can manage it by not joining a gym and dealing with a small apartment. thank you!

That's what my friend's mum would call a "Happy Problem". Can you just aim for getting the next size down?
-
I'm in! I started a reset last week, and got over the initial bloaty grossness, now gaining a few lbs, and just trying to figure this out, BUT, feeling good about not waking up with 1200 cal a day headaches... See you in a month for a "check-in"?
-
HEY! Thanks so much for your post! This comes at a perfect time for me as I increased my cals from 1200, then to 1500, now I am at 1900, and I feel like I am gaining a bit, yet, I feel a lot better. I look forward to seeing your updates!
-
and yet, I feel like you are miles ahead... In fact, where I want to be! Thanks so much for feedback! I understand I should stick with this for a few weeks/2 months, and then what?
-
clearly i don't know how to use quotes, yet... :ohwell:
-
[/quote] I think you should spend 4 weeks eating at least 1900 calories per day... you need more calories to see the weight start to come off. To use my own stats as an example... I'm eating an average of 2100 calories/day and I've lost 8.4 lbs in the last 5 weeks. What are your stats (height, weight, age) if you don't…

Thanks Everyone! Tracy Anderson workouts change every 10 days, so by the time my muscles have adjusted, it's time to switch up the workout already--that is one of the main reasons I have stuck with it for so long and I am now on Day 160 (!) @mrsbigmack- With moderate chosen, my 15% cut comes out to 2123-- with light it is…

I didn't know this was a phenomenon, and I like it! Well done on the progress-I just increased my cals by 500 last week, too, and felt so miserable and bloated and gross, then this a.m. wore my skinniest jeans without a problem! Keep up the fantastic work!

I just listend to a great podcast about this exact thing today on fat2fitradio.com Show #44 http://www.fat2fitradio.com/2008/10/fat-2-fit-show-44-calories-incalories-out/ it seems (to me) the advantages of running over walking is afterburn and less time required to burn the same amount of calories.
-
Well done!! that is really encouraging news. May I ask how you arrived at the new number?
-
This is really encouraging. I just recently upped my caloric net by 500 cals after months of a plateau. I have a feeling it is still not enough, but I am so very anxious about reversing the hard work I have done. I am at week two of this, and also experiencing the crazy uncomfortable bloat, but feeling it ebbing. LIke I…

Ok, people-- I am really confused, but slowly grasping this--I think. I was at 1200, eating back exercise cals for about 6 months. Going on vacation, doing things, but always going back to 1200 (as MFP advised in the beginning). Then I plateaued --for about 3 months. Then I got complacent--and now I am freaking out a…

it's open now, JesuisPrest

I have been taking measurements, and despite exercising consistantly, I am not losing any inches. I have def. gained about 2 lbs back, which doesn't seem like a lot, but it doesn't just feel like muscle, either. I have increased my daily to 1500, and hope to see something other than a gain over the next two weeks. eeeep.…

Now that I have uppded the net calories, I fear I will start to gain. Thanks for everyone's advise and input. This is mind boggling (for me), but I have learned a lot in just one week. Thank you! SJ
-
Thanks, everyone! Just to be clear--my net calorie goals were 1200, but I generally consumed more to make up for exercise, etc. I appreciate your feedback, and really love the fact that I everyone is so into responding and giving input! Thank you!

Hi there, I am on day 111 total-i started the Continuity program a few weeks ago and still love it. i have done the cardio dance probably 4 times total, as it is very high impact, and quite frankly, my bosom can't take it. I have done a low impact version, however, and that is pretty ok. The thing that i LOVE and what…

I am on Level 8 - Meta-Hipcentric- and looooove it. I am really debating starting Continuity. Any feedback from anyone who has done it?
-
that is pretty good progress! The third week is really tough, especially when there are no "signs" of progress. what is your exercise regime looking like? maybe you are doing too much, too soon, too fast?
-
to 88keys point, it IS very hard, and I didn't even bother looking at the diet plan. The baby food diet is just gross and not gonna work for someone like me. I have been doing the TAM (Hipcentric) for about 3 weeks and have already noticed some pretty amazing results. I have done the dance cardio ONCE in the past three…
