Thanks, everyone-- I really like Athleta, and Amazon has a lot of great deals on PrAna wear. I just wasn't sure about the built in boob shelf vs. sports bra with cami over it. Looks like I have my answer!

That's fantastic! Now that it is not 98% humidity in my apartment I might try this again--in another room.

here is a breakdown of the pros and cons for me: CONS (I start here as I like to end on a positive note) -Not a lot of guidance. She talks through the videos, and explains things, but sometimes it would be nice to have a clearer view or explanation. This is sporadic, however. For the most part if I watch a video a few…

I hate to say this, but I can't help but judge the readership to be on the less literary or interesting spectrum. I mean, it's not even vanilla--more like just straight up PLAIN.

Oh, they hear me alright. I live on the 4th floor of an old brownstone. I get it, but part of me gets really irritated that I can't workout midday on a Saturday without the downstairs neighbor emailing my fiance and asking if we have a new piece of fitness equipment. grr....wondering if the rebounder would even help with…

I am so happy to hear from someone who is using the rebounder! I was thinking of getting one, but was concerned it would be too noisy for my neighbors. Thoughts?

Her meal plan is a bit insane, so I can't imagine anyone doing that. You are NOT lazy if you are doing her exercises 6 days a week! Some of them make me sweat like crazay! Well done on the lost inches!

what is this Eat Stop Eat approch?

There are some pretty good points here. I was on VLCD for about 7 months,--the standard 1200 per day, then eating back exercise cals--I thought I was doing myself a great service by being very conservative with the amount I burned. I don't think it helped me in the long run, but at the time I was losing and it was great.…

Thanks, HHM!

Fantastic stuff, thanks for sharing.

Agreed--I mean walking as in really hoofing it around the park (mine is 3.5 miles in circumference). Like, where you can keep a convo going, but hardly. I heard something once that said in terms of pace, if you CAN'T successfully sing your favorite song, you are going fast enough.

Thanks!

I don't count commute time--this is extra I try to throw in for more cadio.

I couldn't agree more. I am definitely healthier eating more, but trying to figure out how much more is a bit difficult. NO WAY I am going back to anything remotely close to below BMR.

This is kind of the aggressive feedback that I was hoping to avoid. What I see in this group is an amalgamation of people who work out a LOT more than I would ever be able to fit into my life, and who are at their goals, but also quite a lot of people who are eating almost 3,000 cals a day and gaining and feeling…

I do Tracy Anderson Mat exercise 6 days a week- 30 minutes Walk at a very brisk pace at least 30 minutes a day those are the two standard workouts I have been mixing in random workouts that are more aerobic, eg. Core Fusion Barre but don't rely on them for my fitness level on Scooby My stats- 5'6" 198 (WEEP! originally 190…

ooooh, so one has to have both in order to get accurate readings for both arenas. thanks you!
-
Thanks! Do you use it only for workouts, or are you also able to get a rough estimate for daily caloric usage?
-
you raise a pretty interesting point. let me say this: I don't consider myself a lazy person, but truly 30- 45 minutes a day for a workout is all I can really handle. It's not about the actual workout, but the time factor is HUGE for me. I live in a city where I spend a lot of time commuting (major negative, but I do get a…

Hey Heidi, First I want to say that you look amazing, so kudos for being fit, and with that, don't get too wrapped up in the scale number. I know it's a hard cycle to break, and I also know that you know this, but just saying, you look fantastic! I used the Scooby calculator to calculate TDEE. I am doing that with a 15%…

that's great! I wish I could do the dance cardio more often--I find it a bit too jarring in spots, and my neighbors HATE me when I do it (old brownstone). I will say that my arms are a lot more toned, and I have seen a decrease in thigh flab. I really love it, and cannot wait to start level 10 next week!
-
That's what I was afraid of hearing! ha. How far into your full reset are you, HHM?
-
That's what I have been thinking lately, but I have no idea how to experiment and fiddle with these things, and how much time to give it. I am doing Tracy Anderson Method 6 out of 7 days a week-1/2 hour each day, it's mostly strength, a bit of cardio. My cardio is pretty low-mostly walking. I have also started doing Core…

Your clothes fit better. Period. That's amazing and it would be enough for me. I am trying so hard to just stay off the scale and measure success by things I feel rather than see. You should be proud of this one!

I never thought of it this way, and certainly never factored in glycogen and water retention. I was taught the old skool "if you work the muscles they get harder" without any of the science of what can happen in the interim. Thanks for the insights!
-
that's very good to know! i never saw that exact info, really, because i have read so much about people who are just starting the process. thank you!

I have had experiences where I have had to duck into doorways and alleys in order to hike up my ill fitting tights, so I know this one well. CONGRATS!!! You look great, and that dress is adorbz. Man, I cannot wait to have tights weather here in NYC again...
