I have often wondered about some of the posts on here too. But, people are correct - it's their business. People who honestly believe that they are not dishonoring their spouse with 'harmless' flirting have never been in a situation of compromise. People will play with fire until they get burned. My husband is not on here,…

Dress pants (I go with the classic boot cut) or skirts (knee length or longer). I kind of like the 'skinny' pant look but try to avoid what's temporarily in-style so that I have the main staples in my closet. Button up shirts and silk blouses make me feel more professional. My favorite store to shop is New York & Co (when…

My favorite is when she says "we're all in the same boat" and I'm like..really?? Because not one of you looks 60lbs over weight lol

I did too...and then I asked myself - Why not today? Why don't I deserve this? I heard a snippet on a morning show a few weeks ago and it really switched the light on for me. One of the hosts was talking about how she had not wanted to go to the gym the night before and get her work out in, but she did it anyway. She said…

I know that feeling, but if you're not careful with the feeling of defeat then it will win and take over. You lost that 9lbs before and you have the ability to lose it again. Losing weight/getting healthy is a long term committment and we are not perfect. We make mistakes. Just do not let 9lbs get in the way of achieving…

Make sure that you are getting the calories it is recommending. I did Insanity last year and it gave me 2300 calories a day and I thought that was way too much. After 6 weeks I did notice a difference but was not powering through my workouts like I thought I'd be and I was not losing weight. I upped my caloried to the…

I haven't lost much, but have already been getting compliments about it. I have so much more energ and I am not having the severe cravings for junk food like I used. to. I still allow it every once in a while, but my self control has improved. I'm actually accepted that this is my life now (eating right and exercising) and…

Chinese food is extremely high in sodium and sometimes MSG. I had a salad at Olive Garden that made me gain 2lbs overnight. I was only checking the calories but not the sodium!! Drink lots of water and you should be back to normal in a couple days.

Hi Whierd, Interesting topic....I think that a spouse should love you no matter what, but I think that love and attraction are two different things. I have been married for 12 years and my husband has put on about 80lbs (he was super scrawny when we got married so he's not even huge now). But I am still incredibly…

Great job Jay!! I've had a couple of days where I've had to take off, but am completing level 1 day 8 tonight. The first day I dont think I could do more than 6 push ups (yes I'm that weak). My son counted for me the other day and I did 20 in the first go round!!! Seeing/feeling a little of a difference, here is to getting…

Congratulations!!! I am hoping that each new size is a tiny victory along the way - great job!

Hi Jay! I am on day 3 as well - I figured if I started on the 1st then I'd complete it by 5/30/13. I will be joining you as well :-)

***By "If you do this..." I meant if you eat back the calories you burn with exercise.

This site will calculate your TEE for you - that is the amount of calories that it takes your bodie to sustain itself as it is (nervous system, muscles, organs, etc.) http://theskinnyequation.blogspot.com/p/weight-loss-calculators.html Once you figure out your TEE, subtract 20% and that is the amount of NET calories you…
