Produce cans work well too..just to be able to start with something

I LOVE this post and may print it and post to my fridge for those days that I am discouraged
-
Always!! This is what continually messes up my plan to eat healthy and stay motivated. Especially the high calorie drinks of girl's night out. Trying to plan ahead now like I do for my weekday meals and will search for low calorie alternatives to the mixed drinks I currently like....but the struggle is REAL.

I will be able to post before pictures and measurements this evening before the first workout :)
-
I will totally do this with you!

That is awesome!!

When you go down to do your squat make sure that your butt is pulled back and put your arms straight out in front of you so that they are parallel to the floor. This will keep your back straight.
-
Also do some weight training on off days - this will help improve overall endurance
-
Definitely eat the additional carbs on the days you are training, but cut them back on the days your are not. Running days shouls be roughly 40-40-30 (40% protien, 40% carb, 20% fat). non-running days should be about 50-30-20. The additional carbs on the days you're not training will bog you down. I love fruit, sweet…

It depends on your body frame and fat vs. muscle mass as well. I am 5ft but am a medium body frame which means I can weigh up to 130 and not be considered overweight. This will give a better estimation. :-) http://bmicalculatorforfemales.com/default.aspx

There is a website www.skinnytaste.com and she has AMAZING soup recipes :-). Most call for low sodium broth or tomato sauce. I retain water extremely bad when I eat canned soups

Don't be discouraged. I've lost only 2lbs in 3 weeks and I have been working out twice per day. I know that one of the exercises I am doing is lifting though and that causes water retention to repair muscle. Also - salt, alcohol, and your period can cause your body to fluctuate qutie dramatically as far as lbs go. There…

That is an awesome change!!

Absolutely! You look great

I know exactly what you mean and you are not alone. Don't think of yourself as a failure, we can't afford to look at ourselves that way. You are only a failure when you completely give up and no longer fight to be the person that you want to be. As long as you are trying you are still a success in progress. My wedding…

If you want to notice an imidiate difference, pick up 70lbs worth of weights and hit 1 flight of stairs. You will see immediately the good that you are doing for your body! :-)

Thank you for reminding me that my prolonged denial does not make me a failure. I've been on the same bandwagon of being a mom and saying that I don't have time for me right now. But, I'm looking for inspiration and believe that I have been successful. You are amazing and the work you have put in shows!
-
You're story actually made me tear up. Thank you for the inspiration and fabulous job rocking it!!!

I successfully planned my meals/snacks for this week and know the workout that I am doing everyday! I lacked a little motivation over the weekend and almost let that sabotage everything. Very happy to be determined once again. I just wish that my hubby would be more supportive of my weight loss
-
You are doing fantastic! Don't be too discouraged - you dropped a ton of weight 2 weeks in a row which means that your body needed time to adjust. Stick with it! :-)

I had an extremely bad weekend and now it is Monday. Time to refocus and get back on track - I'm so happy I have this group to remind me of where I am, where I've been, and where I need to be by the end of February! SW: 180 CW: 173 GW: 167 2/1 172 2/8 170 2/15 170.6 2/22 2/29

Just what I needed! Some more motivation :-) SW: 180 CW: 173 GW: 167 2/1 172 2/8 170 2/15 2/22 2/29

Thank you all so much for sharing! I am 5'1 and am hoping to lose 50-60lbs. I'm so encouraged to see that it can be done :-)
-
You have no idea how much this inspires me!! I am a little over 5 foot and am starting at 180lbs. My goal is to get to 120-130 too so thank you for sharing. Fantastic job - you look great (and now I know about what I will look like 30lbs lighter) !!!! :-)

I definitely experience this, but I think mine is because I'm afraid to fail. Every other time when I get to a point of noticing change I get comfortable. Then I get lazy, and then my efforts are wasted. I am always afraid that I am going to undo the progress I have worked so hard for.
