  • Day 22 is today and I forgot I needed to reintroduce anything this week. Slightly peeved that my cough drops contained soy last week but I'm sure it wasn't too much of it. I should have looked at the ingredients, but I was too sick to care. Which brings me to my question, I am still sick with an aweful cold and sore…

  • Hi there, I'm in northern Phoenix. I love my fitbit zip, really helps with tracking and kind of making it a fun challenge between me and my husband for who got more steps for the day. I joined a while ago, but like you just started kicking butt and knowing it will stick this time. Best of luck and feel free to add me.
  • Hi all, and welcome kimhub. I try and keep an eye on this board but admittedly don't post much. Like you I joined years ago but didn't really start taking it seriously until May of this year. I'm in the northern phoenix area, full time worker, married, mom of two little ones (11 mo/3yo). I have a long ways to go but feel…
  • Hi there, I'm 35 and have a 3yo son and an 11 mo old daughter. I started getting serious about weight loss and exercising when I hit 256lbs. You're right, they take so much energy and I just want to keep up at this point. I'm also trying out the c25k program. Feel free to add me. Thanks

  • Mine is open to friends, anyone can add me! :)

  • Hello all, I (re)joined MFP on May 1st of this year with some family members, and I'm excited to be part of a group challenge! Right now I'm doing an elimination diet to where I'm eliminating foods that are known to have a high intolernce level (soy, eggs, dairy, gluten, corn, peanuts), and then reintroducing each group…

  • Lost 6 lbs in 7 days! I will take it. On day 8 today and feeling good now, although last Friday I had a slight headache and then Saturday had one of the worst headaches of my life. I normally do not get headaches either. May be the sugar or something else leaving my system. I noticed I was eating to many meat based meals…
  • My new favorite is peanut free Nuttzo, tons of good stuff in it too.
  • Nope, it's adorable!
  • Weight can vary for a lot of reasons outside of calories too, like water weight.
  • I wanted to add another peanut free option, Nuttzo. It's pretty good but a bit pricey on-line right now. 75% Daily Value of Omega 3 ALA per serving. 100% Organic Ingredients: Almonds, Cashews, Brazil Nuts, Pumpkin Seeds, Chia seeds, Flax Seeds, Hazelnuts, Sea Salt
  • My favorite peanut butter alternative has been Almond Butter, is you have a Costco you can get too it is reasonably priced too. The brand is Maranatha and the only ingredient is almonds (makes me think it might be easy just to make my own too). I'm officially on day 4 of the full elimination and I feel really good. I was…
  • Good luck with your gluten reintroduction and with camp. My vacation was crazy and off track but because of the extra movement I was getting, it actually evened out (thankfully). Shopping was crazy, even Trader Joes was like a minefield. All of the things that have hidden soy, sugar, eggs are just everywhere. I'm going to…
  • Hi Amy, thanks, I just added you. Any extra support will be helpful. I'm officially starting Monday7/8 and this weekend I am stocking up on good foods, so I am not tempted or have any excuses. I think I'm most intimidated by the dairy and gluten elimination, because they have been such a big part of my life. They could…
  • This :)
  • I have a 9mo from a repeat c section. The lovely mother's apron needs to go. I love the advice the other's have given, the only think I can think to add is log log log, even if you have a bad day or a cheat meal, log it. Seeing it for me was really helpful. Best of luck and add me up if you'd like.
  • Great job, and love the outfit!
  • I'd love to participate. Thanks
  • Love this!!! I needed a laugh this morning, thanks!
  • I definitely do this with lunch and dinner, it helps me to plan out my whole day so there are no suprises.
  • Hi all, I just finished the book and I'm really excited/nervous to get started. My start date for the 21 day elimination is 7/8 since I have a vacation coming up. I'm now trying to prep everything and make sure I can succeed at this (I love researchig all the foods and grocery shopping). I have about 100+ to lose and feel…
  • H_Factor, I'm totally with you. It's based on eliminating 7 foods (corn, soy, gluten, etc) for 21 days and then in the second cycle, you rotate one back in at a time to see if you have any intolerences to it. Then cycle 3 is all about maintenance. I want a lifestyle change definitely not a quick fix, those never last.
  • It is based on eliminating 7 foods that a lot of people could have an intolerence too. Here is the website if you want more details: http://thevirgindiet.com/. It was recommended to me and I've alwasy been pretty skeptic about diets and fads, but after reading it I thought what could it hurt. If I find that I have an…
  • I'll second the palm oil, it won't lose it's nutrients at a high heat either.
