Look, I know everyone talks about percentage of macros, but what it comes down to is that your body doesn't CARE about the percentage of protein it gets and so on, what matters is the QUANITY/MASS. So you need to run some numbers to find out the QUANITY of carbs/protein/fat, NOT percentage. Please read this article, it…

Shakes are still fine for protein intake. Protein is protein whether it's from a quality whey shake or chicken etc
-
A rough approximate and guide only is one gram of protein per pound of body weight, so it depends how much is in your shakes and how much you're already getting from food.
-
Absolutely. Muscles are built outside of the gym as the saying goes... Meaning the repair process is what makes them grow bigger, and we all know that's what protein is to help with. So even on your days you don't lift, drink up! As your muscles are constantly repairing and growing if you hit the same body part with…

yep definitely! I add frozen banana and or berries depending on flavour of protein. I also throw in some ice cubes now I'm mixing with water instead of milk. Delicious! My chocolate powder is also extreme choc milk. So good!
-
Optimum nutrition 100% gold standard whey. SO YUMMY! Especially when you throw in frozen fruits (berries, bananas etc) and ice cubes.
-
Protein shakes! Plus they're so delicious!

errr WRONG! Cardio is great but it is most certainly not the "only way" ! Please don't go giving advice if you clearly don't know your facts. one of the best things for fat loss is weight lifting... And I mean lifting heavy. Have a mix of both weight lifting and cardio. Anyway sumo Squats are good for inner thighs but…

I eat a pro biotic Yoghurt every day too. Plus a bit of cheese. Maybe I'm getting too much dairy :( I drink so much water all day and get a decent about of fiber too. Hmmmm.

Running is one of the best cardio exercises. It's also great at toning legs and glutes when running up hill. Running is even better for fat loss when done in intervals (power walk-run-power walk-run etc) in say 5:1 ratio (5 minutes run, 1 minute walk). It's meant to be more effective than just running at the same pace the…

These tummy aches are daily too, on and off

Thanks! Maybe I will go the sweetened vanilla route first rather than unsweetened as taste is a big concern for me!
-
Well I've read to only go the unsweetened kind for health reasons, less sugar etc. My milk consumption is in my protein shakes and oatmeal so hopefully it doesn't taste awful! :l

Anything you get from meat nutrition wise, you can source else where. Besides, she wasn't asking for a meat vs vegan debate. That's her choice and NOT your business! Us veggies and vegans would kick your *kitten* in the great debate anyway. OP the idea of eating clean is to eat foods that are as close to their natural…

Peanut butter and celery is my favourite! (gotta watch portion control with the PB but it is sooo filling anyway) And Yoghurt is another favourite of mine!
-
Of course it's ok if it fits in your calories and macros. I eat 40 grams of it every day! Yum!
-
Yeah, it's annoying hey! I understand curiosity but when they full on try to start debates I get pissed off. I don't know why it has to be a such a big deal. They automatically think I'm a hippy or something and tell me I can't be getting enough protein. Well I can tell them I get over 100 grams of it each day, when I bet…

I've been vegetarian for 23 years. My entire existence. I was obviously raised that way as my mum is vegetarian also but I always was given a choice. For me i remain vegetarian for a number of reasons. Animal cruelty is one. I don't care what anyone says, the way the majority of abbotoirs handle things is NOT humane. Even…

Fiber doesn't make you lose weight or fat. It helps with your digestive system and keeping you regular. Still very important when trying to eat well.
-
Whoops lol. You should be a detective :)

Tired of starting over? Then stop giving up.

Exactly this. Plus don't be afraid to squat, lunge and dead lift with heavy weights. It won't add bulk, it will cause you to tighten up, look athletic and lose inches as long as your diet is right as well.

Personally, I am yet to come across any women's fitness magazine that doesn't promote all of that crap. But maybe I've read the wrong ones though, despite me feeling I've read them all. In each magazine ill find maybe 1 good article or piece of info, if that, so I just avoid them all together. If I'm bored at an airport or…

Your actual stomach looks the same however the waist looks a tiny bit smaller. You should be taking your measurements with a tape measure as well as photos. And yes, stomache is usually one of the last places to go and diet is the most important thing. Don't get disappointed that you don't reach your goals straight away,…

I can't create a bigger deficit than 300 cals per day otherwise my net calories would go below 1200 (my tdee, not including additional workouts is only 1500 because I'm only 5 foot and don't weigh much) But thanks every one. I guess I'll just carry on as per normal and learn from my mistake by remembering the horrid regret…

You don't eat the yolk? Man, that's the best part!! The cholesterol in it isn't even bad cholesterol!

I hit 1900 calories some days and then exercise it down to 1200. Most days though are the 1500 - 1600 mark and again, burning it down to 1200. I get this by eating almonds, celery with peanut butter, Yoghurt, protein shakes, bananas, porridge, and sometimes pasta. It's really very easy! It just takes some planning the day…
