  • I'm pretty sure HRM with a chest strap is about as accurate as you can get.
  • mymyride works for biking, but i started using cardio trainer which will records several different types of workouts
  • i dont count on certain days of the week. i think if you've been counting for 2 years, you should have a pretty good idea of what you can and cant eat. I also stop counting when my weight hits my goal. but start counting again once i exceed a certain amount.
  • i ride 16 miles one way. takes a little over an hour each way. it's actually a little long. i make a lot of detours to stay on bike trails and off heavy traffic roads. 9 miles would be nice commute. at a moderate pace it should take about 45 minutes. i am blessed with a shower at work, and a spot in the warehouse for me to…
  • i drink a protein drink immediately after for recovery. also one of my coworkers tells me he puts a little baking soda in his gatorade (i would sub zero calorie vitamin water or life water or something). supposedly it cuts down on the lactic acid buildup - you may want to research that one.
