  • It's a personal thing. I can only run every other day or else it kills my knees but I have a friend who runs 5 miles 5 days a week. Your body tells you.
  • I love this challenge. I'm in!
  • It totally depends on what you would like a fitbit for. I have a fitbit One and it's actually my second fitbit. I bought my first one a few years ago before they were popular and before the fitbit and the case were separate. When the case cracked it was ruined. I have to dress up everyday and prefer to have my fitbit…
  • I run every other day so today was biking for 30 minutes and then a combination of upper and lower body strength training.
  • I have a Fitbit One and I am actually on my second Fitbit. I got my first one 2 1/2-3 years ago and had it until the case broke. I love that they updated the case and it isn't connected now. I also work in a professional environment and it I didn't want something on my wrist. I want my tracker to be hidden but I wear my…

  • I want to play! I need some accountability because it hasn't gone well lately. Todays Date:9/25/2013 Current Weight: 160 Goal Weight by Halloween: 150 Measurements: Will update later Neck: Waist: Hips:
  • I have 4 kids and at my very highest pregnant I was 196 pounds. Yikes! It is possible, but it takes some self control and desire to change. I have also found that if I exercise in the morning, my entire day is better. I tried eating only 1200 calories and I found that I couldn't do it. When I saw that I went over then I…
  • I injured my knee 15 years ago and had tons of knee pain. I re-injured it a few times and really never had the pain go away. About 7 years ago I was tired of the constant pain so I went to a orthopedic surgeon. He told me I didn't need surgery but gave me exercises to do at home to strengthen my thigh muscles. The pain has…
  • I've had my fitbit for a year and have worn it almost every day. I can count on 1 hand how many days I've forgotten. It's a great motivator for me and helps me keep track of how active I am. To me it was well worth the money.
  • 12/1: 5983 12/2: 3503 12/3: 15,305 12/4: 9,184 12/5: 7,332 12/6: 17,076 12/7: 11,534 12/8: 13,888 12/9: 3,677 12/10: 4,290 12/11: 18,071 12/12: 20,259
  • My treadmill also can sink to my heart rate monitor and my heart rate monitor always shows that I burn about 50 calories less than what the workout projects.

  • It's not an option for everybody, but we found a reasonably priced treadmill. It's already really cold in the mornings here and I have a little one so running during the day is out for me. A treadmill that my husband and I use, and now our older kids love, has been well worth the money.
  • I want to play!! CW: 157 GW: 142.
  • I am in. It's been a few months, but I'm going to try for it. I have a new job where I sit all day so my goal is 6,000 steps.
  • To me, the reasons you have each are different. I love my fitbit and I have worn it every day for 5 months, but it doesn't monitor your heart rate. My fitbit shows me how active I've been and really motivates me to be more active. I also like a heart rate monitor for when I'm running. You need to decide what you want in…
  • I didn't realize how hard it is to keep getting over 10,000 until I started this challenge a couple months ago. If I don't make a big effort, I only get 3,000-5,000/day. This challenge keeps me trying to get moving and I like that. My average last month was 9,700ish/day so I had a number of days that were down. That's just…
  • Goal: 10,000 per day. 5/1: 13,510 5/2: 10,703 5/3: 11,209
  • Goal: 10,000 per day. 5/1: 13,510 5/2: 10,703 5/3: Yes, I'm off to a better start this month!! My husband thought I was crazy last night when we went for our walk and I only had 4500. It always surprises me how little it actually takes, but I just have to make the effort. It is quite the challenge sometimes, though.
  • For me, I like the 30 Day Shred, but I recommend not doing it everyday. I've learned that I have to give my body time to recover from any exercise. In November I tried doing a challenge where I did the 30DS every day and I hurt my knee so badly that I could hardly walk for 6 weeks. I think that it's safe if you give your…
