Might be taking today off. My back is still tight, feels better than yesterday but I think it needs a rest.

Thanks for the response!

I may go just for a consult. I never had to do physical therapy after my surgery. I bounced right back and recovered so well that it wasn't required.

I think the combination of the circuit and starting to run again is what agitated it. It feels a lot better today. I did google some stretches last night that I am going to do today. I just want to be able to strengthen it so that when I work out it doesn't hurt. Thanks for the detailed response.

I am sure I started out with too much. On 1/1 I did a short kettle bell workout. On 1/2 I did the 30 minute circuit at the gym (Planet Fitness) and 17 minutes on the treadmill alternately between running and walking. Yesterday (1/3) I walked for 60 minutes at 2.5 mph on the treadmill.

I am bipolar. Suffer from depression and severe anxiety. I have gained a significant amount of weight since I’ve been with my now husband. When we started dating almost 13 years ago I weighed 110 lbs. Last year I reached my highest weight of 212 lbs. I am pushing myself to exercise because I know it helps with my mood.

Do not be disappointed! You went to the gym. That is a huge accomplishment. I could only run 2 minutes at a time on the treadmill yesterday but I did it and today I will do better. Start slow and each day do a little more even if it is 30 seconds.

It depends on the reasoning for giving them up. I would personally give up the pop because of the artificial stuff they put in it. I have given up diet pop completely and have substituted it with one v8 energy per day for a bit of caffeine. Not a coffee drinker. Good luck.

Congrats on the lose over the last year!!! That's amazing. I totally get how hard it can be with the winter depression. I suffer from depression year round. I have started a gratitude journal and set daily goals so hopefully that helps me. I check out pinterest everyday for motivation...give it a try. Good Luck.
