  • We can't eat perfect all the time. I wouldn't skip weighing in, just learn from it and get back on track. I have had a few weeks where I even gained a little bit and didn't feel good about it, just accepted it and tried to do better the next week. We're all human!
  • I have watched it before and it was heartbreaking. I really felt for her daughters, especially. She did do a good thing by trying to help other people who are morbidly obese!
  • I have never tried flax seed in cereal, but I do use it in smoothies and can't really notice the taste that much.
  • In all essence, probably the more you sweat the better, but I still run a fan while exercising, so I don't get so hot that I feel sick.
  • Congratulations on your weight loss. While we all want to lose weight as soon as possible, I have heard and read that 1/2 lb-2 lbs a week is the safest for weight loss to prevent any health issues such as anemia and such. But then again is everyone is different. I would say you are doing fine as long as you are feeling ok…
  • I have been afflicted with chronic fatigue (Epstein Barr Virus) for over 20 years. I also have hypothroidism, frequent migraines and tension headaches, and mild anxiety. I do my best to stay positive and find a reason to smile every day!
  • Thanks. I also found another site: MyTrueFit.com is offering up a FREE Tape Measure! Just go on over here and let them know your body measurements. After doing so, check the box that states, “Please send me a free fit kit and soft measuring tape.” and then a drop down address form will pop up for you to fill out. Go to…
  • I would like to join this group. I am a 36 year old female, married, with a 5 year old son. I have struggled with weight for years, since jr high. I joined WW in January and have lost 20+ lbs. I need all the motivation and support I can get. I am doing to my best to fill out my food diary every day and am exercising…
  • Add me too. I am trying real hard to get this weight off and reach my goal for the first time ever!
  • I also generally don't eat after 7 pm. But I do try to eat something at least every 2-3 hours during the day, even if only a piece of fruit or yogurt. This keeps my appetite satisfied and my blood sugars stable. I think if you go too long without eating, you are ravenous and tend to overeat when you do eat.
  • I would not exercise if you are sick. Just wait until you are feeling better. Pushing your body, when it isn't up to par, isn't good. It could just make you more physically exhausted and prolong the symptoms.
  • If you have a exercise that isn't listed, you can always add it. I started doing a walk/jog combo on the treadmill and had to add it.
  • I have a talking "Go Walking by Sportline" pedometer that I got at Wal-Mart. You can shut off the talking part and it also tracks steps, time walked, calories, and distance. I like it. You set your stride and your current weight to get the most accurate results. I found that I walk 3-4 miles just at work. Those steps do…
  • I don't think it would be, as long as it isn't absurdly over the recommended number, especially the fiber. I think it is ok to use more protein, especially if you are exercising on a regular basis.
  • I agree with some of the others. Usually after a change in diet, you will lose more the first week or two. It will probably level off and the next week may only be like a 1 or 2 lb loss. I tend of expect this if I have a larger wt. loss one week, probably the next week will be quite a bit less. I wouldn't be concerned…
  • Thanks for this post. I realize now I haven't been eating enough to fuel my body. Yesterday I had 191 calories from my eating that I didn't use, plus the 563 calories that I burned thru exercise. So I had a total of 754 calories in one day that I didn't use. I realize that I won't lose and meet my weekly weight loss goal…
  • I noticed when I was eating them frequently, I had more BM's, but not gas. This topic came up as I was watching "The Biggest Loser" with my sister several weeks ago, and she said alot of people call them, "Fart Bars." I thought it was funny. But, I might suggest cutting down on them if it is bothering you. They do contain…
  • This week I started pushing myself to get my 8 glasses of water in. I am going to bathroom at least twice as much as usual. Hopefully the hydration will aid my weight loss and my body will get use to it, as time goes on!
  • Me too. I have been on WW for 4 months and had good results, but found this site a week ago and really like it. I figure getting information and support from different places can always be a good thing!!
  • Thanks for the kind words. If I may offer some advice for those just starting...Don't starve yourself or eliminate your favorite foods. I have found I lose more when I am close to my daily calories then not eating enough stalls your metabolism. Also, set smaller goals like 2-5 lbs. It makes it alot less daunting and…
