Hi, Kim here! Grew up in Waldorf, living in MoCo for over 13 years. Also lived in PG (various), Fairfax, and Falls Church....anything to avoid a long commute! Currently a stay-at-home mom of 2 boys, 12 & 9. Would welcome weekday meet-ups while the kids are at school/camp. Feel free to add me :)

I've been thinking about this for a while and after reading this thread I am motivated to start TOMORROW! I really think running will really help me reach my fitness goals. Thanks for the boost of confidence.

I've notice that if my cell phone is nearby (like not even in my rear pocket), it doesn't work correctly. So if your iPhone is too close that might be doing it. I have an android phone, but I imagine the interference would be the same.

I have the same problem and I take Vitron-C (recommended by my doc) that really helps. Since you can't tolerate the pills, check out this site...it's quite helpful in selecting the most iron-rich foods: http://www.mckinley.illinois.edu/handouts/dietary_sources_iron.html

You look amazing! Thanks for posting!

Great job! Congrats!

Thanks for posting this! I'm thinking about the WD in MD this spring. I'm not a runner so I was a little concerned. I mostly Zumba and lift weights. I might try C25K to train for the running portion of it, but looking at other people's posts, I'm not nearly as concerned as I was. Sounds like a lot of fun!

I love it! I just got back from class and my HRM registered 605 cals for 60 minutes! It's by far my favorite cardio workout! Anything else that burns that many calories is not as much fun for me, so I'll be doing it for a long time. I know I can push it even more as my endurance builds up for a bigger burn, but even on…

I'm a stay-at-home mom of 2 boys. I have a mean addiction to cake & cookies and always wash it down with Coke Zero. Add me and we can do this together :)

Hi, everyone! Another newbie here...although I've attempted P90X before, I've never gone the whole 90. This time I'm determined to get through it! Reading through your posts is definitely motivational. I'm on Day 2 about to knock out the plyo. I'm so psyched to do this as I reached my half way point this morning - 10 lbs.…

Wow, only 2 more workouts to go! Now that we are nearing the end, I can say I definitely feel stronger. Endurance has always been a problem for me, but I can see improvements since the start of Ripped. My clothes are fitting better for sure. I can't wait to take my measurements over the weekend and compare the photos. I…

Hey, Rippers! Week 4 Day 3...DONE, DONE, DONE! This week is sufficiently kicking my *kitten*! I can bring it with the Superman move, but after those burpees...I'm dragging through the next few exercises. My heart rate goes to the max when I do them. I am so psyched that we have only 3 days left to "graduate!" I've only…

I finish up Ripped in 30 on Saturday. I am thinking about starting P90X Classic after that. If so, I'll join in.

Week 3 Day 5 DONE! This morning I felt hammered because I worked out late last night. My thighs were screaming! Even so, I definitely feel stronger than I did a couple days ago, but so much for the scale...no movement in a week, but it is that time of the month, so we'll see. My hubby noticed, though...when we were…

Pollock...that WAS a good one!

I liked Arlington Road, too...funny that you can't find anyone who's heard of it. Three of my all-time favorites are Gattica, The Story of Us, and Wuthering Heights (classic & re-make). I never hear anyone talk about these, but I love 'em anyway!

Woo hoo! That's AWESOME!!

OK, so it's 11 am and I am totally not motivated to do W3D3. Maybe by noon I'll get myself together. The rain is making me want to get back in bed. I think I'm doing a pretty good job with the downward dog pushups and the rock & roll things. I'm not liking this week too much, which makes me wonder about week 4...but…

Week 3, Day 1...all I can say is "Ugh!" On top of that, I didn't burn as many calories as normal even thought I felt like I worked pretty hard. Maybe I paused (or passed out) more than I think I did! LOL! It seems that way also when I eat something (i.e. anything) before my workout...does that make sense? Maybe tomorrow…

I was at a conference the last two day, so I missed Week 2 Day 6 yesterday, but I am going to try to get it in tonight. The diet went over a cliff yesterday and the only way I can salvage today is to burn about 500 calls before I go to bed. Everyone seems to be doing pretty well at the midpoint...keep up the good work,…
