If that makes you discouraged, don't weigh in. It's normal fluctuation.

Turkey and vegetable soup....cause I'm sick and have a sore throat.
-
The added sugar thing causing binges is a farce. It's the taste. I can easily eat thousands of calories of dried fruit (mangoes, persimmons, dates, figs), nuts, cheese, etc. pretty much anything.
-
Way too many. I'd log around 50 cals per mile.
-
When I'm really sick I rest. If just a cold, I'll swim. I'm on day 3 of resting due to some virus. Just means I temporarily drop my cals for those days (so around 1800).

I'll be eating all the goodies. But will not stuff myself. So a little every day. Pie, ice cream, cookies, cakes, rich foods. This is my favorite time of year and I'm going to enjoy it. No stressing about food. All things in moderation.
-
I'll be eating out a lot and logging very loosely. And working out as usual but not on my training plan since I'll be traveling. Will gain some water weight and lose it all by mid-Jan at the latest (about a week after getting back to reg habits). So it works out in the end.

Genetics absolutely plays a role. But it is only part of the story. Hard work is the rest. If you don't have the genetics, you don't have the genetics. But that should not stop you from reaching your particular athletic potential.

The comments eventually stop. That has at least been my experience. Now they just kick each other under the table at the crap load of food I eat when we go out. lol
-
I just went out and did it. lol. In hindsight, I'd suggest adding some trail running, night running, and (steep) hill training to your training. It's a blast! We're doing another in the fall.

This is why I'll continue to log indefinitely. Since I still plan on eating those meals I have to plan ahead and have them on days that they fit-ish.
-
Every time I say I'm going to limit sweets, I don't. So I'm going to stop lying to myself. lol. Funny thing is I didn't have a sweet tooth until I lost weight.
-
What do you mean that you can eat too? Limit your portions. That is all. No need to stress over one day. Enjoy the time with your family and friends.

I don't remember any week being particularly harder than others, except mentally. Just have to just do it. Now I'm running 1/2 marathons quite comfortably and getting faster with each run.

The double chocolate doesn't taste good, imo. Very fake tasting with an unpleasant after taste. The apple cinnamon is decent. I'm sticking to real muffins though or if I need a mug cake, Pamela's brownie....very tasty.

Guesstimate based on something similar in the database. Sometimes, I'll guesstimate based on the ingredients mentioned in the dish's description.

Pecan, pumpkin, apple, peach.

I'm in-between sizes too. I've pretty much given up on finding well-fitting pants off the rack. They fit in the waist, but not the legs (too big).
-
I go for a long brisk walk in the morning (8-10 miles) and in the evening, I veg and watch TV.

I'm limiting sweets, but not cutting it out. Shoot, we're going to Chicago for Christmas and then I'm on a cruise and I plan on having all the good stuff in Chicago and some sweets on the cruise (not to mention bread pudding in NOLA). And also waiting for the 10 bags of dried persimmons I ordered to come in from TJ's. This…

Apple sauce for oil in most baked goods.

My natural competitiveness.

I have a desk job too. At work, I walk to the restroom or for water, every 1-2 hours. And I walk to and from the parking garage (which is more than most do here). That's it. I get my exercise before and/or after work.
-
I went many months without logging and did ok. I've decided to go back to logging however, and will do it for the foreseeable future. But I'm not strict with it, but I like seeing how I'm doing and keeping things in check.

Nothing but real sugar will do when I want sugar. Can't stand that other stuff. But I don't need to sweeten my coffee. Half & half is enough for me. Or almond or soy milk or non-dairy creamer.

These are super easy to make. I haven't made oatmeal cookies in awhile, but you can make a huge batch and they keep well.
-
I love the fig bars so much I can't keep them in bulk in the house. lol

I'm currently seeing a dr. for this. I didn't lose it with weight loss, but since I started tri training with my coach this year, I haven't had one (20-25 hours per week of training, including steady state cardio, HIIT, and weights). Dr. is going to put me on a regimen including bc, calcium, and vitamin D to ensure that I…
