I totally agree! You look awesome! I know I don't do weights the right way. I think I may look into this book. Thanks!

Awesome progress! Don't give in now-- you are doing so well! I have no idea if this pertains to you, but the fact that you're about to cross a milestone (300 lb) resonated with me. I have a habit of self-sabotaging. Like failure is more familiar and comfy than succeeding and reaching my goals. I've done that several times.…

Love my kindle! I have the old 3G/Wifi one- all my relatives just got Kindle Fires and I'm jealous! I still tend to prefer "books", but you can't beat the kindle's convenience. And I loved the Hunger Games, too!

Love mine!!! But I only drink "real" coffee with it. My parents bought me a box of the Cafe' Mocha for my birthday, but it's just a lot of sugar and empty calories. Just watch the calories on what you buy-- many k-cups are simply coffee, and don't become caloric till you add your stuff!

Just made me think of that Seinfeld episode about "good naked vs. bad naked". Working out at the gym can definitely be bad (almost) naked!

I quit. I have always enjoyed wine, but when I learned how many empty calories it has, I stopped (recently). I tried logging it, but my weight loss was going too slowly. So I gave it up. I will have it socially, when I go out with friends, and on New Years Eve, but I don't keep any in my house. Too easy to just pour a…

I gained two. I did well with portion control on the actual meals. That wasn't the problem. I had trouble with the social aspects-- my neighborhood cookie exchange, work parties,, and alcohol. Way too much alcohol. I didn't really plan ahead for that type of temptation, the way I did for the actual huge meal, etc.

An elliptical bike? Never heard of it-- I'll google it. I have an inexpensive elliptical that I keep in front of the TV. Hate it, but it works! haha And an exercise bike as well. Didn't know I could combine them!

Wow-- sounds like this person above knows what they are talking about. And I've heard that same thing from many sources-- my tummy is my worst area, but I have consistently heard that calorie deficit and aerobic exercise will do it. No such thing as spot loss. Good luck!

I like my horizontal loaf better than the vertical one. One word to the wise, if your area has icky water (ours is really hard water), you may need to use bottled spring water. My first loaves when I moved to this area all failed, and I couldn't figure out why! As for making it by hand, I'd love to, but it's time…

I like that! And good timing. My parents sent me their photos from Christmas. The first one or two, I thought, "Oh, that's a bad picture." By the third one I had to face the fact that it wasn't a bad photo-- it's what I look like. I freaked out for a bit, and then decided to use it as a motivator. I am taking a photo from…

I find that certain foods (like the ones you mentioned-- salad, biscuit) do NOT satisfy me for long. I do better when I up the protein, or even the fat (I try to keep them healthier fats). One meal that does keep me full for a good while is a one egg/two egg white omelette. I add fresh basil, a whole green pepper chopped…

Absolutely go! I go to stuff alone all the time. It's when you show up alone that you are most likely to meet new people. So go, paste a smile on, and have a blast!

Absolutely call him. It'll clear up any question, AND keep in mind that he may be feeling the same way, but is uncomfortable saying so. Good luck!

That made me laugh!!!

Totally fishing for compliments, in my opinion. My latest pet peeve is seeing celebrities who are a bit heavy say they are some ridiculously tiny size, when I know I am smaller than them, and am in a MUCH bigger size. Puh-LEEZE!

I'm a mom of two with about 50 lbs to lose. I've enjoyed this site so far-- tracking what I eat is sooooo much easier than it was on the WW site. I do find that they overestimate calories burned, but otherwise have no complaints. Feel free to add me as a friend!

I have the same problem at times. I eat a one-egg/two egg white omelette, with about 1 full chopped green pepper and one whole chopped tomato (not huge), and 1/4 cup chopped onion, with 1 ounce of light cream cheese and fresh basil if I have it. It's low calorie, and absolutely STUFFS me. One of the most guilt-free ways of…

I'm looking for the same-- feel free to add me!

Totally agree. I did this program, and at the end could run 5Ks. And I HATED running before.

I totally agree. I belong to both sites. The social support there is unbeatable. But the points are purposely complicated enough that you need their calculator or to belong to their program. This is simple. I can calculate calories on the fly. As for the "free foods", I agree that having fruit be "free" isn't a great idea.…

I was in your boat. This book saved my life! OK. That's an exaggeration. But I followed this guy's advice (after a friend steered me to him), and my kids became AWESOME sleepers. Still are. Hang in there. It's a hard time, in that way. But it does change and improve.…

What a fun NSV! Love it!

LOVE that!!!

I'm wirth you, Strobin-- a kick-*kitten* set of kitchen knives! I have one "really good" Global chef's knife, and it just made me want to get more. Would love to get a set of Shuns, if only I could win the lottery!

I'm with Arronlock. I never weigh my veggies. I guesstimate the measurement for recipe building or whatever, but I think that the more the merrier as far as intake.
-
Funny you say that-- I was having the exact same experience. I was seriously about to throw my hands up and say, "Well, if I weigh the same whether I try or not, why try???" . Today I weighed in, and was down several pounds (4.8). I haven't logged it, cuz last week it was my doctor's scale, and today it was mine-- I'm…
