I make mine with onions, tons of green peppers, and tomatoes. I also add 1 oz of light cream cheese. It keeps me full for hours. BTW, I use two egg whites, one full egg.

Maya Angelou, among many others. During college I was part of the team that brought celebrities, etc. to speak or perform at the school. We took turns chauffeuring and entertaining them while they were there. Awesome job.

You look amazing!!! Happy birthday! :drinker:

^^ This as well. In my own field (not a doctor), I am ethically bound to refer elsewhere if I don't feel equipped to handle a client's issues. I have made referrals on several occasions to other professionals who are better equipped or experienced. That doctor was probably doing the same thing. Maybe he should have said…

That's a great NSV! I have been doing stairs a lot at work and at home, and noticed that I no longer get winded after doing a bunch. When I first started, I couldn't speak after three flights. Now I do a lot more than that, and am not bothered. Good for you!

Wow! All the upsides to bulimia, without all the bad breath and dental problems. :noway:

I have long, slender legs. A friend stopped me as I walked by a month or so ago, and said, "My god, you have gorgeous legs." That made my day. No, it made my year. :-)

"A tiger doesn't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep." I'm always looking for positive friends and support. Feel free to add me! I'm a little taller than you-- 5'9", but not far off.

^^ This. Every time I go to have a glass, I have to remind myself that it has almost as many calories as a can of regular coke. Gaah!

This sounds really delicious (and easy)! Do you all brown the chicken first, or just put it into the crockpot raw?

Oh, crap-- I didn't think of that. That Merle is in on it with the Governor to get into the prison. Like Martinez in the book. He and Daryl will make their escape, and then he'll betray the group to let the Governor in. And I think so many of us thought the same thing-- as soon as Tyreese appeared, we all thought, "Bye,…

If you have a little more cash, I have a self-cleaning litter box. http://www.amazon.com/PetSafe-Simply-Clean-Continuous-Clean-Litter/dp/B000GF0X38/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1349734545&sr=8-5&keywords=self-cleaning+litter+box It's just under $100, but it veeeery sloooowly turns (the cat never notices), and screens the poop,…

My daughter was on a miralax-type thing for a while, and it really helped.

I use Zumba on the Wii, and love it. I have NO coordination, so I would never do zumba in a class. But the Wii keeps track of how accurate your movement is, and "rewards" you with fireworks, and percentages, so you're motivated to stay on -beat and energetic. I burn a lot of calories, and generally can't talk while I'm…

Welcome! For me, planning ahead helps. Hard to do with a little one, I know. But on those days that I catch myself without a plan for a meal and hunger setting in, I make less healthy choices or overeat. Last weekend I made a few big casseroles, plugged the recipes into MFP so I know exactly what I'm eating,…

I found that coming up with a few "go to" high protein, low cal meals has helped me. I love 1 egg/2 egg white omelettes packed with veggies and 1 oz of light cream cheese, for example. And last night I grilled up several chicken breasts with wine and lemon juice, and today will pack them in 3 oz portions and freeze them…

Laughed right out loud at this one! I did something similar the other day, and cringed on and off for several days afterward. Too funny!

I lived in a renovated 1839 farmhouse (with a two-seater outhouse in the backyard!). We heard boots clomping up the stairs frequently (daytime mostly, but sometimes just before dawn-- never at night, thank God), heard things crash LOUDLY elsewhere in the house when nothing appeared to be broken, and people heard my voice…

I haven't read all the responses, but for me, I kept it closed for a while because I found myself not being honest, fearing the comments. I started keeping track in my head, saying to myself, "I'll just put in one piece of toast (or glass of wine), but I know that it was two (or three)". I've seen some really unkind things…

I have the same issue with sugar. I am not a nutrition expert, but I don't worry as much as I probably should about sugar IF it is in the form of fruit or something else that is overall a really healthy choice, like yogurt. Some would argue that point, but that's how I look at it. Granola bars, etc. I try to avoid unless I…

I had this exact thing happen! Orthotics helped a little, but getting better shoes helped a lot (buh-bye ballet flats!). It took several months to truly subside, and during that time I couldn't exercise-walk, and limped when I had to walk just to get around. Swimming was a good alternative, and also I got myself a…

You have a point. Rick made a show on 18 Miles Out of saving ammo by using the knife, so I guess they should have thought of that. Anyone read the books? Really good, but the show doesn't follow them closely. That's kind of a good thing, since it's "new", then to all of us, and anyone is fair game. I won't say more, cuz I…

Good question. I have a confounding factor of a life-threatening illness that confined me to the couch for a few months, and doctor-prescribed reduced activity. I packed on 30 lbs. But it started before then. I was a twig my whole life, without trying. But an unhappy, long marriage to a man who told me that I wasn't very…

I LOVE my Fitbit. I do not have it linked with mfp. I watch both, however. I love to beat yesterday's number of flights of stairs walked, or notice when I am not sleeping enough. I don't know much about the Bodymedia, but I can't say enough good things about my fitbit. As an aside, I lost the wriststrap that you can wear…

The woman in the office beneath mine often heats up some sort of curry or Chinese food. I LOVE that kind of food! I had to start eating 1/2 hour earlier, just so that I wouldn't be already hungry once I started to smell that yummy, calorie-laden aroma-fest.

Love it! I do try to avoid eating sweat potatoes, since I am one myself, apparently. But when no one is looking...
