I believe that dreams are a way of your brain working on stuff that is concerning it (good and bad). Are there any stressors in your life that are new? I agree, it's probably not related too heavily to a diet change, unless you've introduced some odd foods that might be bothering your digestion.

I once had a friend who lost 60 lbs and none of us noticed. I felt awful! Sometimes we lose it in less obvious ways (her face, which was the most visible, really hadn't changed that much, and her clothes hid the rest). Also, people may be uncomfortable asking, since by asking it implies that you maybe needed to lose weight…

Subway turkey sub maybe twice a month. In a pinch, chicken nuggets from Wendy's maybe once every month or two.

A lot of my support is online, also. This site and WW. I don't tell a lot of other people in the real world, because I don't want anyone scrutinizing my food or activities. I'm pretty good at doing that all by myself. I'm sorry about your dad. That's still very fresh. No replacing that support, but making friends here may…

That sounds AWESOME!!! I have the ingredients- sounds like my lunch is set!

Most condiments can be collected "for free" (sorta) from fast food. Mayo, ketchup, mustard, sugar, napkins, etc. Takes me back to college... Also, there were bars around our campus that would offer dollar taco days, etc. Not health food, but you could put some tomatoes/salsa, green peppers, etc. on them. Or a once a months…

The only low fat cheese I like is cream cheese, because it spreads easier. Otherwise I use real cheese, and the more flavorful the better (e.g. Cabot Seriously sharp over generic cheddar). I tend to follow more of a French diet-- real food, packed with flavor and nutrients, but just a bit less of it.

I just got my DVD, and am anxious to start it. I'm surprised how many people on MFP say that they get bored with it! I haven't tried it, but I can't imagine that it's boring! Maybe the bored MFPers are already in fabulous shape (a lot of them look like it!), so the workout is easy. I am sure that will not be the case with…

What he said. I've been there, too. For me, I think that failure started to feel very comfortable. I'd lose a few pounds, and then declare victory and go back to my sedentary life and eating/drinking habits. I really had to change my mindset. I started visualizing what I really wanted in my life, and told myself that old…

Even if they ban you, Emma, keep moving forward. This is a great time to start turning this around. Walk whenever you can, exercise in front of the TV or on your lunch break, and strive toward replacing unhealthy food with nutrient rich, delicious, healthy food. The ban is surely so that kids who are struggling with eating…

So funny!

Love it! There are some terrific dads out there!

I'm lucky in that regard-- my ex is NEVER late with his payment, and is a pretty good dad overall. Loves his kids, and would never let his kids go without, I'm sure. I never had to take him to court-- we came up with a figure like grownups, and he makes it happen. In your state, can you take him to a version of Domestic…

My FORMER dentist gave kids lollipops after a cleaning. Nice.

I don't currently teach (I'm a school psych), but I work with a ton of them. Yes, we have a few clunkers. But I work with some of the most passionate, inspiring educators I have ever met. Besides the energy and caring they pour into their students, the sheer number of hours outside of the school building that they spend…

You know, as much as I lauded natural consequences earlier, the reality is that a month or so ago my son (7) forgot his coat, and in my haste to rush us all out the door I didn't notice till he got out of the car for the bus. I admit that I ran home and got him his coat and took it all the way to school (and was late for…

Not rude at all. She may be hoping that you won't be there, also. If you trust her not to ransack, I'd leave the key or leave the door unlocked.

I don't get very many, either! I must not smell very good, either! Not sure what the etiquette is-- on Facebook I have no problem not accepting requests. But on here, I pretty much accept them all. So far seem like a nice bunch of people so far.

I'm a school psychologist AND a mom. I completely believe in natural consequences. He will survive the day, miss playing with his friends, and my guess is that he will NOT forget his coat tomorrow! :-) My kids have to get theri agendas signed every day. They were told (with parents present) in Sept that it is THEIR…

That's funny! You could write a book and call it the "Hunger Games Diet" I enjoyed the books, too! Looking forward to the movie.

I haven't weighed in for a while, so I'm not totally sure it's a real success story. But I have two little ones (elementary age) who are awesome kids. I had trouble fitting exercise into my day, between work, hauling kids to scouts, sports, etc. I was exhausted by the time they went to bed. I joined a gym that we've been…

They have a terrific site that gives all the nutritional info. I like their vegetarian black bean soup. Delicious!

I've been working toward this idea, but still have a ways to go. For me, it was reading the book The Fat Fallacy. The author gave little game/quizzes. He'd list the (horribly fake, unappetizing) ingredients of popular foods, and you could guess what it was. It was so hard! The ingredients for many things make them…

I eat a square or two of the darkest, most decadent chocolate I can get. I keep a few bars of high-end stuff on top of the fridge. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, though. It takes me weeks to go through a bar.
