Honestly.. I find a glass of ice-cold water with a couple slices of cucumber and fresh mint leaves curbs the need each and every time... Its very refreshing too!

UGHHHHHHHHHH is that why you changed your screen-name????? I hope you reported the numbnuts youve run into!??!?!?! UGHHHH... Meanwhile back at the ranch: I shall ring the bell and wish you good luck in "Round Two"! 8-)

So much for asking for help - she deactivated her account... Thats too bad
-
BTW, My offer still stands from the private message I sent you, if you would like some ideas on where you can get real food instead of the processed food, even on a budget, Ill still gladly help - but only if you want to accept that help

Agreeing with this. The last thread you started which stems from the same topic here,... you definitely have been making some less-than-desirable choices with all of the processed foods, the excessive use of "quick calorie" entries, etc.... Im also curious if you did consider the really good advice that you did receive in…

Not just good food... healthy habits that have developed, better decisions made for our health... One of the many reasons I dont go (in addition to what Ive previously mentioned) is the fact of how disgustingly horrible my mother's eating habits are. This is a woman who is on 12 different medications, she is a cardiac…

That is a perfect schedule. And I dont know why you would think there would be no time for studying or working out. You have plenty of time do both. Do your workout before going to class. Go to class Go to work Come home to get your dinner going and study then. This is too easy. And - if you are aiming for veterinary…

All of the Phase One foods on Dr. Atkins' program. Even some of the Phase Two foods as well.

I work in healthcare and Im pretty shocked to hear this to be honest. Let me ask this though as its the first thing coming to my mind: are you consulting with a Behavioral Specialist? A Registered Dietician who works with ED-patients in conjunction with Behavioral Health? Thats the first thing you should consider - an RD…

I would also consider your local health dept as well....

My post was perfectly refined... but definitely to the point. Unless you are willing to compensate people, no one is going to want their own recipes in someone else's book.... thats just rediculous

That to me sounds like you had a reaction to any chemicals/fertilizers. Did you wash the broccoli prior to working with it? The other thing could be if it came into contact with some other contamination, liquid-variety. If you didnt work on a clean surface when cutting them, you may have cross contaminated the broccoli.…

Firstly - ummm its Saturday, alot of people are out and about... Second - if you are making a cookbook - it should be your own recipes... Why would anyone want to give their personal recipes to you only to have you take the credit for them and receive no compensation?

Milk and potatoes... the mere thought of consuming them makes me want to vomit.. ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not necessarily true... lard is pork-belly fat... Ive used it plenty of times (olive oil, lard, butter) and Ive got extremely healthy cholesterol. Like Beantown mentions, if you do the math, I bet you it probably is alot better than you realize
-
Basically if it came from a can, a box, just-add-milk, just-add-water, just-add-margarine, products that you just cant believe its what-ever-it-is, partially hydrogenated, fully hydrogenated.. then its not clean.

Thats the number one reason why my husband will not ever visit his mother at her place: she is extremely filthy, her home looks like it went through a nuclear dump and the woman sits on her backside all day long and does nothing. She lives on the third floor mind you - and you can smell her apartment the minute you open…

Made a killer seasoning rub using Hickory-smoked sea salt (MY GAWD THIS IS GOOOOOOOOOOOD STUFF!) and rubbed up some beef shoulder steak tips. (HSSS, cajun, cumin, arbol, ancho, brown sugar, worcestershire, black pepper) A buttery-saute of white mushrooms, onions and yellow peppers Faux-pasta noodles of summer squash and…

I would let the washer fill up and put Oxy-clean in it.... that would be a perfect way to 'clean' this up really well.

Once in a blue-moon only because of how sick I get... physically sick, hormonally sick.... I allowed myself to have a serving of cork-screw pasta last night but it had quite a bit of fresh chicken, full fat cheese and a homemade marinara. There was good balance in the meal however, I still have a physical reaction of…

THANK YOU - someone that actually gets it! Good common sense here!

We are a more adventurous palate at home. My husband loves my Czechoslovakian Meatball dinner where he is a big time savory-addict. I adore making homemade Pho. Exotic seafood in Korean dishes is very delish... Refreshing grilled chicken gyros with fresh made tzaziki sauce cant be beat. If you are looking for variety, give…

Bilateral insertional achilles tendonitis, bilateral osseo/calcificated calcaneal spurs, nearly healed right calcaneal fracture, bone fragments lodged in the right achilles heel at the insertion point. OHHHHHHH YEAH!!! RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! Thankfully I work along side the specialists who are seeing me: Im not only their…

Baby or no baby - sorry but cooking can still be done.... I was a single mother for almost 7 years and had no problem cooking meals from scratch . It is a great way to start your child on real foods, not junk... Start the good habits now and your child will reap the benefits of seeing Mom eat healthy and they will want to…

What these two posts in particular (like the many others) are trying to tell you is that logging information does require effort. You have the ability to 'build' the food-item you consumed instead of using the 'quick add calorie' option. Your diary for several entries (I looked over several) are very poorly maintained. You…

Ill purge the eggplant over night with some sea salt - so the moisture gets pulled from it. Rinsed and then Ill rub a little fresh garlic on each. Layer it up like a normal lasagna... OHHHHH SOOOO GOOD!

There was a guy who was watching me for a bit and I did my best to ignore him... I was using the bicep-curl machine (PF), I have worked up enough to curl 55# so far and Im pretty proud that Im doing this with the personal trainer right there. And the guy .. ugh, he just kept watching... I got fed up with it to be honest...…

Sorry - Not true. If you run a check on eggs and a large majority of the cheeses through calorieking.com, they have carbohydrates. There are even some items in the seafood category that have carbohydrates as well
