Did you ever think you'd say "3.9 miles only"?

5.28 miles tonight. 120.56 Month to date Was supposed to do about 4 miles tomorrow, but I'm thinking I'm going to take the day off. I think I may have pushed too hard Monday, and I felt worn out on tonight's run. Besides, February 29th isn't even a real day, right? Back at it March 1st.

My Week 4 total was 28 Miles for 108 total for the month.
-
Don't want to make it too low again, so I'll say 160 for March.

I definitely under-set my goal. I'll hit 80 miles on Saturday. Total for the month will be over 100. My pace has improved so much that I underestimated how far my daily short runs would be.

I'm new to this challenge concept. I've been running since March 2010. Goal for February: 80 Miles I have run the following: 2/1: 2.91 Miles 2/2: 6.01 Miles 2/3: 13.02 Miles 2/5: 2.00 Miles Total for Feb so far: 23.94 Miles

Started C25K in March 2010. Ran a 5K in May 2010. Did a 20K in September 2010, Half Marathon in November 2010, and a full Marathon in December 2011. Repeated that calendar this year as well as another 5K in February. When I started, I weighed 257 pounds. Wasn't even aware of MFP until September 2011. Lost 20 pounds during…

I would recommend you follow a training schedule. Join a local running group if you can find one. Or, look for training programs in your area so you can train with others. As far as finish time, you are on track to do much better than 2:30. Actually, according to the estimators I find, you should be able to finish a half…

One more thing, obviously, training on a treadmill is better than not training, but it really doesn't prepare adequately for running outside. The hills, the wind, the temperature, and the mere fact that the ground doesn't help you along makes running on pavement a far different experience. I don't know if this relates to…

Training: Make sure you are logging enough miles to prepare you adequately. It's also helpful to train with a group if any exist. Look for running clubs in your area. Another source is a running store. If there is a store near you, I'm sure they either offer training programs or know where you can find one. Food: Find out…

Great job! Glad to call you my MFP friend.

I'm pretty sure the folks I've friended on here wouldn't do that to me, but I don't make my diary available for viewing because I don't want people to comment about the food choices. I know I don't eat "good" food, but I eat what I like. I just eat much less of it than I used to. If I did have my food diary viewable and a…

I typically wear just the cheap acrylic knit gloves. 2 pair if it's really cold. However, they are a bad choice if it is raining. I wore them on my marathon when it was 40 degrees and rainy. My gloves got soaked, and my hands froze. I was more than a little worried that I was going to have a real problem.

This was me before at 250 pounds: This was me after 8 weeks of MFP (four weeks ago) at 226.8 pounds:

This is going to be about as good of a "Before" pic as I'll be able to post:

Great job! C25K was what got me moving last year.
-
We started training in June. The long runs on Saturdays have built up gradually to this point. My runs during the week are never more than 60 minutes
-
Let me also jump on the C25K bandwagon. That's what got me started running/jogging last year. Did my first 5K in May 2010. Ran the White Rock Marathon in December 2010. I don't necessarily recommend anyone try to run a marathon only 9 months after starting to run. I had to set that kind of goal or I would have quit running…

20 mile run will be tomorrow. I'm training for the Dallas White Rock Marathon, which is 6 weeks from Sunday. And, yes, that will be the long run for the week. Monday was 3.97 miles Tuesday: 5.17 miles Wednesday: 4.19 miles Thursday: 3.76 miles
