22 Weeks
In 22 weeks using MFP, I have lost 47.8 pounds and dropped from a 44" waist to a 36". Also down from a 18" neck to a 16 1/2" I'm limited to only one suit that fits any more (which can be tough for an attorney), and it's one I got in 1994. Here are a before and after Today: Before MFP: [img][/img]

Less Weight = Faster Runs
I am actually amazed at how much my weight loss has affected my running pace. I did a 13 mile training run this morning with a negative split and an overall pace of 10:15 min/mi. Second half of the run was below 10:00 min/mi. Mile 13 was 9:23. I never thought I would be able to run this fast. I still have a little more…

I'm Overweight!
Weighed in this morning at 212.4. This takes me out of the Obese range and into the range of Overweight. I haven't been merely overweight since 1994.

The Obese Marathon Runner
I'm still a few pounds away from dropping below "obese" to merely "overweight," but I completed my second marathon today. Dallas White Rock in the cold and rain. Finished in 5:04:45. More than 30 minutes faster than last year. Burned 4434 calories. Right now, my net calories for the day is still only 68. I don't think I'm…

10 Weeks In (+NSV)
As of this morning, I have lost 28 pounds in 10 weeks. Started at 250.0. Today was 222.0. I'm ready to run the White Rock Marathon Sunday. Also, this week, I pulled one of my old suits out of the closet. Jacket 46. Pants have a 37 inch waist. The jacket was fine except snug in the shoulders. I was pleasantly surprised to…

8 Weeks In
With this morning's weigh-in at 226.8 pounds, I have now lost 23.2 pounds in 8 weeks. I passed my intermediate goal of 230 last week. I will be running the Dallas White Rock Marathon on December 4th, and if I maintain my recent success, I should be down to about 222 pounds by then. That would be 15 pounds lighter than I…

NSV Resurrecting Old Pants
When I started with MFP, I was wearing pants & jeans with waist size 44". I had also recently bought some new suits (I know, bad idea) that had pants with a waist size of 45". Friday, I pulled on a pair of jeans that had been languishing in the closet for years. Waist: 40" I knew I would be able to get them on, but I…

6 Weeks In
This morning marks the 6 week milestone for me. Started at 250.0 pounds. After week 5 brought my first stall (actually a 0.2 pound gain), this week, I dropped 5.6 pounds to find myself weighing in at 232.4 pounds. I should easily make my intermediate goal of 230 by December 4th. Running the DRC (Dallas Running Club) Half…

4 Weeks in
Started with MFP 4 weeks ago. Started out at 250.0 pounds. This morning's weigh-in was 237.8. 20 mile run in the morning. The runs definitely go better without those 12 pounds.

2 Weeks in
I downloaded the MFP app to my iPhone 2 weeks ago. I was inspired to lose weight by two main things: 1) I am training to run my 2nd Marathon, and I had actually been gaining weight this time after losing 20 pounds fairly quickly last year. I had put 13 pounds back on since the race last December; & 2) a friend started a…
