I downloaded the MFP app to my iPhone 2 weeks ago.

I was inspired to lose weight by two main things: 1) I am training to run my 2nd Marathon, and I had actually been gaining weight this time after losing 20 pounds fairly quickly last year. I had put 13 pounds back on since the race last December; & 2) a friend started a blog about his journey losing over 100 pounds over the past year. He had recently dropped below my weight, and the competitive male in me kicked in.

I've lost 8.6 pounds in the first 2 weeks. Looking to stabilize that to about 1.5 pounds/week going forward until I hit my goal of 50 pounds lost to bring my weight down to 200.
