I just read your other thread. You're kicking butt, Momma! Congrats on reaching your goal and doing it with your family right along with you. Thank you!

I'm up from where I used to be after a pregnancy. Here's where I managed to get to previously!

Thanks! It's funny how I didn't see it until now. I was too focused on the number I wanted to see on the scale and didn't really see the success.. SURE DO NOW THOUGH!

AWOOOGA!! You are amazing!

No, but I'm not against it. Anyone going to Tough Mudder in Whistler this June? :)

DAYUM!!! Absolutely wonderful. I bow down to you!!

I'm sure your sister's heart is in the right place. There are a lot of common misconceptions about weight loss and nutrition out there that science has laid the smack down on. Pre-planning what I'm going to eat (for the day) has been a huge help for me. Give it an earnest try and I hope it will work for you too!

Talking to your doc is a great idea to make sure you approach your weight loss in the healthiest way for YOU. Great suggestions from everyone here as well. Do you plan out your food for the day or just wing it? It helps a lot for me to know what I'm going to be eating and calculating it out before I stuff it ALL down the…

Sounds like you're jumping to the opposite end of the spectrum and trying to cut out everything and anything deemed unhealthy. Do you feel a diet like this is sustainable? You don't have to cut out everything you enjoy, you just have to eat less of it so you're still hitting your calorie targets. When you get your tray of…

I'm a Project Manager for a large vid-ya game company (currently on mat leave). To keep on top of the desk sittin', beer fridays and incredible amounts of cake and food days, I bike to work, snowboard on weekends, play on my company's sports teams and use the stairs. Doubt I'll be able to keep all that up when I go back to…

Killer job turning a big debbie downer moment into that amazing body!

I LOVE BEER TOO!! I bought a soda stream and drink gallons of soda water a day instead. Usually give myself one night a week to partake in guzzling my lovely beverages. It took a few times to get used to the flavour of it, but now it satisfies most of my beer needs.

Looking for a "new wife"? What happened to the last one, didn't like cheeseburgers?
-
Well that's a treat [sarcasm]! I'm sorry you have to go through that, I can't begin to understand how that must feel. But I do know that her jabs at your are just to get under your skin. In a weird way.. sometimes I think it's kind of awesome that someone can only make fun of my weight.. it's so obvious and superficial. I…

More like "Awesome Betty!"

Well, first of all, that's crazy because you're clearly gorgeous. She's obviously crazy jealous how incredibly awesome you are and is trying to find the one thing that you might be self conscious about to get at you. You should offer her some peanut butter to go with that jelly.

Quitting smoking is your number one health priority! If you gain a few pounds in the process it's well worth the health benefits you're receiving. I've never tried to quit smoking and lose weight, but when I did quit smoking, I replaced it with black coffee.. no matter the time of day. Black coffee is exactly the nasty…

I absolutely adore zumba. It's miles better than spending an hour on the treadmill and I get the same burn (: It can be great core strengthening as well if you really keep your body tight instead of a limp flail .

Hullo there! You got this :) Keep posting and keep being inspired. You're going to crush that monkey on your back.

Definitely don't get discouraged if you have a bad day! You're doing great! I've found that focusing on small things, one at a time is making the biggest difference between a "diet" and a life style change. For example, I decided in January that I need to stop eating after 8. The amount of calories I consumed before going…

You're absolutely stunning in all those photos!

I'm signed up for June in Whistler as well! I've been working on my cardio and taking a butt load of different strength training classes at the Y. Having this goal to work towards has really motivated me to get to the gym and my only goal is to cross the finish line (without being carried across on a stretcher). All the…

I'm also 5'4 and 170lbs. I know that I'm still overweight as it's more fat than muscle. But I've lost over 50lbs, run a half marathon and signed up for Tough Mudder along the way. I'm happy that I'm getting healthy and motivated to keep going. Whether you look fat or not is irrelevant if you feel healthy and happy with…
