To avoid the fat factor you can get the powdered stuff to mix into things like shakes and oatmeal. PB2, there's also a chocolate variety, it's really good on chocolate ice cream too!

I just got back from a 10 day vacation where I ate pasta, drank beer and mixed drinks, ate pie and ice cream, soft serve ice cream (called creamees where I was), and ate burgers. I also ran, biked, and hiked a mountain, but hey I was on vacation. I'm back on track since Monday, but I get the real food deal, don't judge,…

38 years old and don't want children. My partner and I decided when we got together 13 years ago that neither of us wanted children. He had been married before and never had children from previous relationships, I never had the maternal desire for children, have the patience for children. I enjoy other kids for a short…

Clothes manufacturers have actually started making sizes bigger since the 60's. So a size 4 in 1960 would probably be like a size 0 or -2 now. They began doing this as American waists have gotten bigger to sell more clothes. I used to wear a size 8 when I weighed 135 lbs. I fit into an 8 now at 150lbs. How does that…

It would be difficult to say much to her IMO. This was me (your sister). And anytime my family said anything to me, I did see it as pure criticism, and lecturing. Both my parents struggled with weight their entire lives so who were they to tell me how to eat and what to eat. They are very judgmental. It never ended. It…

I'll share what I just posted today, my NSV of the day actually: I'm 5'4". My heaviest when I started MFP for the 3rd time was 178 on May 21st. I'm now 151. My initial goal weight is 135. This is what I accomplished and posted today: " I DID IT!!! I ran a 5K with out walking, all by myself!! If someone would have asked me…

I would be no help. I went from 1 Truvia/Stevia and Fat Free 1/2 & 1/2 to straight black. It took a little getting used to, but now I'm fine with black coffee. I just need 1 16 oz. cup a day and I'm good to go. I didn't want to waste even the little bit of calories on the 1/2 and 1/2 so I went completely black.

38 live in VA, originally from Vermont and miss it terribly. Have a Masters in Gerontology and currently run a dementia unit at an assisted living facility. Incredibly rewarding, but exhausting, and trying, and wonderful all at the same time.

It was exactly 5 weeks ago today that I decided to get off my big lazy butt and begin to move it in conjunction with eating better. So 5 weeks ago I was barely able to jog 1/2 way up my street. We live on a corner. Each way it's about .7 miles to the end of the road. I've been Jogging/walking trying to get into running…

22lbs in 90 days. Mostly diet, cutting calories with some cardio thrown in 4 - 5 days a week in month 3. Have a total of 43 lbs to lose overall.

There are also other PCOS groups on MFP as well that people may want to check out. I think the more support and reaching out there is the better. I have been diagnosed with PCOS as well. Thanks for being willing to share more info. Check out the other groups too as I'm sure they'd be willing to hear what info you have too!

I got that too, at my heaviest. And it was in reference to my weight. I think people were just trying to be polite. It was mainly from people who hadn't seen me in a while. I saw the surprise on their face when they first saw me, then they said, wow, you look...great! Um... ya right! I also got, Did you lose weight? Uh,…

Hi there fire, I've been here for 106 days. Try # 2.5. I'm committed and working hard. I try to support friends as best I can, looking to lose an overall weight of 43lbs. I'm 38. I'm just stating to get back into shape as well. I biked 15 miles today, first time in 2 years, whew! Feels darn good though. Trying to be a…

The only time I had that issue was when I was trying to get the app on my phone and ipad to connect with the transmitter, which it can not do (I later realized, because it does not have blue tooth capability). The ft4 is a pretty basic model. It is a good beginner HR monitor. It does not communicate with any app. Just the…

Bump. I'll also try this with spaghetti squash.

Thanks for replying. I did a bit better yesterday. My legs are feeling good, the lungs and heart and trying. I see improvement. I know it's a slow process. I need to be patient with myself. I just want to know how realistic I need to be and how much I should be expecting and how much I should push and not to push.

Good question! I've often wondered the same thing. Thanks for asking!

Bump, just to keep referring to and keep reminding myself, over and over, and over again. It isn't rocket science!

I was prescribed Topamax 2 months ago for Migraines, 1 month after I started back on MFP. I did noticed it helped my weight loss. I adjusted the the side effects now. I am still taking it, and doing well with it. I posted a topic about it about a month ago, just asking people about their experience on it, and it really…

I have a male cat who is prone to cystitis and crystals, i.e forming hard urine balls in his bladder. He is now on a prescription diet (not cheap) but necessary. He had a problem with urinating all over the house. The problem got really bad! We consulted a vet and feline behaviorist (also not cheap), but rather than try to…

Hey there, I'm 38 I've been using MFP for a solid 3 months now, but it's really my 3rd time. This time has been the most successful so far. I'm on every day and try to be as supportive as possible. I'm always looking for supportive friends as well and am happy to add people who are on daily and could use help and are…

I posed this same question about a week ago. I got lots of good answers. I'm with you, I'm still struggling, still slow, and can only last about 20 - 22 minutes at a stretch right now. But I'll keep at it. I'm 3 weeks in. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1074577-how-long-did-it-take-for-you-to-start-to-love-running
