I'm 20 and have 2 kids; a son (2 years) and a daughter (5 months). Anyone can add me if they like.

I've lost all my post baby weight and I'm still going strong I'll send you a friend request. I gained 30 lbs with my son. So far I've lost all that plus 20. I didn't gain with my daughter because I was sick all the time.

I agree. MFP sets 1200 as a limit for a reason.

Hello I'm also a breastfeeding mom of a 5 month old baby girl. My dietician told me to not eat less than 1500 calories a day. I've lost almost 50 lbs since my daughter was born and it has not affected my milk supply. My baby is content after every meal and is consistantly gaining weight. Try this link for more info:…

I was probably about 255 when I started running intervals on the treadmill. It makes me sweat like a pig but I like it. LOL

My dad passed away last September at the age of 54 from a heart attack and I've seen the same thing happen to many of my other family members. I gave birth to my daughter in March of this year and said enough is enough. I need to be here for my kids and I can't stand to look in the mirror. I avoided them like the plague. I…

My favorites are the Thai style noodles with chicken and veggies and the BBQ chicken pizza. I'm also trying to stay away from processed stuff so I only eat them when I don't have much time.

I can see the pics now and you look fantastic :)

I can't see the pics :(

You can look up breastfeeding in the food database or enter it manually under exercise.

I'll send you a friend request. I want to lose over double that.

I also completely disagree with number. I always have a ravenous appetite after I've finished my workout. I usually eat an hour or 2 before working out because it is uncomfortable for me to exercise on a full stomach but I still need to have some fuel in my system. And its makes since that some people would be hungry after…

I'm also a nursing mom that is trying to lose some weight. My daughter is 4 months old. I don't count any extra calories for nursing because I like to have that "safety net" in case I have a bad day. Some women add 500 to their daily calorie goal. If you search for "breastfeeding" under "Food" there is an entry you could…

Try exercising beforehand so you have some extra calories. Happy anniversary!

Great post! I get really worried when I see people eating less then 1200 calories a day.

Hello and welcome! Maybe next time you could work out before going to the barbeque? That always helps me. You're just starting out so it takes some getting used to. Good luck on your journey :)

Maybe the Power 90 Master series? I'll be done with Power 90 in September and then I'm moving on to the master series.

kmurphy - Yeah anyone can lose weight. In my case when I started I was aiming to lose over half my body weight. Now its less then half my body weight so it seems more doable. I have a lot to lose so I can't expect instant gratification. It could take me years but eventually I'll get to where I want to be. My road is just a…

To Donnawearen: Oh just the usual stuff: ~ Drink your water. Its very important and will help flush out your body. ~ Try to exercise at least 5-6 days a week where you feel like it or not. Your health has to become a priority or its not going to work. I work out everyday of the week and I feel great. I also battle with…

So far I've tried Slim in 6, 30 Day Shred, and Power 90 (videos that came before p90x). And Power 90 is my favorite by far. I've noticed a huge difference in my body and I enjoy the workouts.

Its not really a diet but a lifestyle change. In the end there is no such thing as a quick fix. The Atkins diet has been revised a lot over the years. Now you eat a lot of lean proteins (such as fish) and you get your carbs from whole grains and vegetables. Later you can add in fruits. I believe for the first couple weeks…

Breastfeeding has definitely helped me to lose weight. It burns between 200-600 calories a day depending on how much your baby eats and how many ounces you produce. I waited until my baby was 7 weeks old and breastfeeding was well established before I made my lifestyle change. I have not noticed a drop in my supply and my…

I just sent you a friend request.

Good for you! I don't even walk by that stuff anymore at the store. A lot of my time is spent in the produce section. It took a little bit for my taste buds to adjust but I feel so much better now.

I just swim laps for about 30 minutes. It burns a lot of calories and is very relaxing for me.

Like the previous poster said there aren't many options besides fresh fruits and veggies. Processed foods seem to be loaded with sodium these days.

I had low iron before I started eating healthy (I track it in my journal as well). And now its normal :) but I still keep track. I wish I could say the same thing about my blood pressure. I think you're doing very well. And yes lean cuisine have helped me learn portion control and they do fill me up.

Here's their menu: http://www.tgifridays.com/menus/menus.aspx Try this link for nutritional info: http://www.thedailyplate.com/nutrition-calories/food/tgi-fridays As you probably know most restuarant food is loaded with sodium. I've never been to this particular restuarant but if the portions are large, you could eat half…

I think you're doing pretty good. Some people will tell you to watch the processed foods because of the sodium. I keep track of it my food diary and usually go over by a little bit. I also love lean cuisines. I figure they're not as bad as some of the things I could be eating and they're great when you don't have much time…
