1. My fiance started the day by telling me how much he loves me. 2. My boss sat and listened to me today. 3. I worked out even though sitting in my comfy chair petting my puppy seemed like a better idea at first.

I had to share that here when I found it. It made me laugh. Then I realized I had to edit it or it would get deleted :)

The only way you know how a cheat meal/day will work for you is trying, tracking, and evaluating whether it's working for you. If it slows your progress but you are happy and you feel like it is something you can live with, I say that's a win.

Sexy aerobics instructor? BTW does lube have calories?
-
Love it! I usually drink a glass of wine and call it even. I kind of feel like counting calories after sex makes it more work and less play. Sure, if I'm faced with a choice between working out and sex I'm going to choose sex but I'm not going to try to justify it. I'm just saying, that's what I'd rather do. For those of…

That was the thing I was the most afraid of. I started the program late and it became too much of a stressor for me. I feel the same way. I would like to do it again but I would like to do a program that I could afford the total donation cost at the beginning. The first week of training went well. I definitely have a…

Mee too! I think I watched too many B horror movies growing up.

I'm not saying this is the typical case. I'm just trying to lay out the math of what that type of weight loss really looks like. I don't think we should limit ourself with lack of belief in our abilities or unrealistic expectations.

I love it. I weigh in multiple times a week because I'm curious.

In case it wasn't abundantly clear, this person is fictitious. The point I was trying to make is that is the amount of work it would take to lose 10 lbs in a week. That's the way the math works out. The calorie allowance was one I actually picked up from a BL contestant while watching the show. High weekly weigh loss goals…

When I forget what I was doing I start humming and in a monotone say "bah bah bah bah bah - what was I thinking?" It helps me remember. I feel sorry for the nice guy that shares a cube wall with me. He hears this at least five times a day.

@ irongirl73 - Thanks for the ideas. I am totally in awe of anyone that trains/competes in Iron Mans. That is pretty amazing. I'm definitely looking at focusing extra time on swimming since my form isn't very efficient and I have a harder time pacing myself in the water.

@dianeg81 - I have shied away from TNT events because the fundraising feels like a huge commitment. Did you feel like it was do-able? I actually didn't run the half marathon I trained for with them because I didn't feel like it was possible to meet their fundraising goal but the environment felt very supportive.

My goal is to finish a class series before the end of the year. I'm over 200lbs right now so I have some work to do first but I've heard great things and it looks like a lot of fun. Surprise, surprise, my fiance is very supportive of this goal.

I might get slammed for saying this but after a really bad day, I punish myself in the gym. I need a real example of how much work it takes to burn off 1000-1400 calories. After that work out I forgive myself and move on. I figure if I make a mistake I can hike up my big girl panties and make it right for myself. I drink a…

Most of my rewards have involved shopping for new clothes. I heard a really great idea from someone on a board who made herself a new necklace for each milestone. The beads she chose and the number of the beads had a meaning for her. I thought that was a really lovely idea.

I pack a salad most days with my own dressing, a greek yogurt (this is usually a late afternoon snack), and a piece of fruit. Salad this week: 2c Mediterranean Blend Salad ~8 grape tomatoes 2 oz chicken 1 oz fresh mozzerella perlini Vinegarette(sp?): 1 tsp olive oil 1 tsp balsamic vinegar 1 tsp lemon juice turn or salt…

Have you gotten fitted for a new bra? You may have lost weight in your chest and back but don't feel like it. If you are wearing a bra that is the wrong size you might not be getting the support you need. This could cause pain by the end of the day. Other than that, it sounds like you have been doing a great job. Keep at…

Thank you for sharing that story. That is basically my main fear in joining a club. I figured there would be a club here since there is an IM here every spring but I kept thinking that a club here would be filled with IMs. I'll look into it. I think I could especially use help building my confidence in open water swims -…

Thank you! My plan is to have fun and compete against myself. I have learned that there are always going to be people that are competing to place in any event. I'm going to complete and enjoy myself. I will have to look into the local triathlon club but I have to say, the idea of it intimidates me a bit. I suppose I need…

Mine is open to my friends but I recently had this discussion with someone and they shared that they had a hard time being honest with herself and she was learning to do that with her food diary. This is a personal journey. If someone feels more safe being honest if it is just them and their diary, that is their choice to…

I tried my first brick work out today. It was not difficult so much as it was strange. When I was finished I felt like I was still in forward motion when I was stretching. I took it a little easier than I needed because I wanted to pace myself. I feel like the Sprint is an attainable goal but it's clear it will take a few…
