  • Haha, a size 6 is what I'm trying to get down to...
  • Will definitely be trying this tomorrow! Do they sell angel food cake mix in the regular cake aisle? I just don't think I've ever seen it and am worried about finding it...is there a brand that makes it? I've only ever seen it sold already made.
  • I have size 6 jeans that are so old I probably wouldn't wear them if I actually got back down to that size, but I do keep them around to gauge how close I am. If I ever make it, I'll buy new jeans! As far as buying a pair, unless you have very little to lose I'd say go somewhere in the middle of where you want to be. You…
  • I plan out my meals for the week on my MFP app, and then I make a list of only what I'm going to use, and then only shop for that stuff. It cuts down on costs a lot- before I would just try to buy a bunch of "healthy food" and end up having a lot of it spoil before I got to it.
  • I'm just on the pill and several acne medications (acne is due to the pcos). My dr. thinks i don't need metformin yet.
  • I have PCOS, although I think mine is pretty mild. I have heard you really need to do low carb, but I've tried low fat/low calories with success in the past, and I LOVE carbs...so I'm going to try that and then if I find myself really plateuing for a long time I'll look into cutting the carbs.
  • Exactly what I was going to say! I have mac n cheese planned on Wednesday. I'm eating that as my main dinner course with salad and fruit. It fits very well into my calories and macros- in fact I had to add an extra afternoon snack to make sure I was getting enough calories for the day!
  • In response to all the hair/make up comments- I go to the gym straight from work. I'm expected to look nice at work. So yes, my hair and make up is done. I would assume most people are in the same situation (unless you're going at 5 am) where they came from somewhere else. I currently just wear a t shirt and yoga pants,…
  • I've been eating a 100 calorie bag of popcorn every night recently. I plan it in my calories. It's filling and it's actually a lot of food for 100 calories.
  • I literally just did a double take and had to scroll back up to the first picture to make sure it was the same person! You look amazing!
  • I've always heard of it as an appetite supressant- not something that will help you speed up metabolism or anything like that...you're supposed to drink it before meals so that you will eat less. I tried it once several years ago. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever done. Yes, it does make you less hungry, but…
  • I would love to do that- I always did in college and it worked great. I suffer from chronic insomnia- but if I workout right before bed, I'm out like a light. I'm also a night owl and have the most energy at night- I find I can do a lot more in my workout. Unforunately, now that I'm graduated and living/working on my own,…
  • I like the sweet ones. I have no control with boxes of cookies and such. For a salty 100 calorie snack though, I love the 100 calorie bags of popcorn. It's still a big snack (not a little tiny thing like the normal 100 calorie bags) and very satisfying.
  • I have the opposite problem...all my weight goes to my gut and I almost always have a gap in my thighs even though I'm overweight. My thighs touch at the very top now and I'm 164 and 5'4. I have a complete gap if I'm under 150. It's so unbalanced. I hate it! I'd much rather be balanced or even have bigger thighs and a…
  • That was actually the fittest I've ever been. I worked at a gym for my part time job. I had "gained weight" and got up to 135 (now I would LOVE to be 135, haha) and freaked out and really started working out and counting calories. I got down to around 120, but was so toned I was a size 0. I don't think I'll ever be there…
  • I'm also 5'4". I'm currently weighing in at 163 and I want to get down to 130-135. I've been around 120, but I literally ate almost no fat, no sugar, 1500 calories a day with 2 hours of intensive excercise (did not eat back excercise calories) and I know that's just not something I can realistically maintain. I feel like…
  • I gained 11 pounds between the week of Thanksgiving and now. I didn't excercise at all, didn't track on here, and ate like crap, so I totally deserve it. It's very disappointing though because that was everything I had lost since starting mfp. Now back to square one. I've very motivated to start everything back up for the…
  • I really like Super Mario Galaxy . It's like the mario game I used to play on Ninentdo 64 when I was younger (super mario world, I think?) It's by far my favorite game that I have. I just got the 2nd one for Christmas. I also like Mario Kart. I got Epic Mickey because I'd heard good things, but I only played a little and…
  • All of my friends that are going out are in serious relationships and taking their SO's with them. I'm single. I didn't want to be the 3rd wheel. In addition, there's nowhere close enough to drink without driving, so we'd end up having to stay at someone's house, meaning I'd not only be the 3rd wheel, but would also have…
  • Me too- 24 here. In all honesty, the only part of being in a relationship that appeals to me is having an automatic date for things like weddings or parties that seem to be "all couples." Those situations make me feel awkward. Otherwise, I'm quite content being on my own!
  • Ditto! I'm only 24, but I have NO desire to have children. I find it ridiculous that in 2011 society still sees it as our "duty" as women to have children- like I'm expected to want them just because I'm a woman. I'm a teacher- I actually love kids. However, I don't want to have my own! I see kids all day, those are my…
  • For actual thanksgiving meal, I actually don't really like thanksgiving food. I'll probably eat under my calories that day. For thanksgiving break though, I'm going to stay with my family in my hometown for almost a week, which always ends up in me gaining a few pounds because there are tons of resteraunts I love that we…
  • I don't think it's necessarily unhealthy, but is it sustainable? You should be working on a life change...something you can stick with forever. Do you think you'll be able to eat only subway for the rest of your life? This may work, but at some point you ARE going to get sick of subway (plus, that's a lot more expensive…
  • I worked at a pool for several years. Although it is polite to ask/plan out how you'll swim in the lane together, we had very strict rules saying that people must share lanes. You cannot tell someone "no" or to wait. If there were two people in the lane, it was expected that each person stay on one side of the lane. If…
  • I almost exclusively drink vodka and diet coke- boring I know but I honestly think it tastes better than the sugary crap anyway!
  • I'm totally guilty of being that jealous person that had made fun of a thin person- one of my best friends in college was TINY- literally the thinnest non-anorexic person I've ever seen, and she ate junk food constantly. We were watching a Dane Cook video one day where he said something about "skelator" and I kept jokingly…
  • I think on some people, thats just they're body type. Sorry, I know it's not what you want to hear, but I'm the same way- an "apple." Yes, when I was thin my stomach was much smaller, but it will be bigger than my hips no matter what size I am (I was a size 0 at one point and my stomach was bigger than my hips). My mom has…
  • I am more lenient with myself on the weekends, but try not to go too crazy. I eat my "junk" foods, but try low-fat, low-sugar versions if I can and I still stay with in my calorie range. Tonight, I'm going out with some of my girl friends- I already plugged my drinks into my calorie count, and since I drink vodka/diet it's…
  • I get the soft tacos. We don't have a chipotle where I currently live (but I had one where I grew up and went to college) and I REALLY miss it. It's a great "treat" food that isn't really all that bad for you. The tacos are around 650 calories for what I get- it's pretty high in fat but if you work it into your day it's no…
  • I guess I'm experiencing this backwards...I weighed around 120-125 (I'm 5'4- that's the ideal weight for my height) for quite awhile. I suddenly gained weight and have fluctuated between 150-165 for the past 2 years or so. The way people treated "skinny me" and "fat me" are 100% different. I've noticed that my close…
