Hello! I am Jen. I live in the Dallas, Texas area and I have been on MFP (active) since January 9th. As of this morning, I am down 20.2 lbs and I have about another 38 to go. I am 6'2" with a goal weight of 170. I started 30DS in February and took about 3 weeks to get through level 1 (I was mixing in cardio only days and…

That is hilarious because I was just thinking yesterday how maybe I should stop telling my boyfriend how much weight I have lost so far because I don't know that he realizes how much I have gained in the last few years. He always says "you are not fat, so you put on a few pounds, so what?" But I think when I told him last…

I am hoping that is the case... I just brought the 20lb mark as of this morning... WOOHOO!!! And I am about to do a major switch up on my workout routine so hopefully I see some amazing results!!

Here is a very comprehensive explanation... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/104076-posting-pictures-on-the-boards-tutorial

Well, this isn't exactly "classy" - but I am in law school and carry a lot of REALLY heavy books around everyday (as well as a laptop). I would have serious back problems if not for my wonderful Brain Bag! It's roomy and comfortable. It is pricey, but it will last you forever. http://www.tombihn.com/page/001/PROD/100/TB0104

Don't think I didn't catch the "flask" in that post. HAHAHA!!! I just keep that in my desk drawer - no reason to transport it back and forth!

Saving this!

You will love it here! It's nice to find friends who understand the woes of the tall women... it's not all glamour and supermodels.... :)

Hey! Thanks! That is cool! :) And based on my weight loss and size ratio several years ago, I think it is pretty accurate!! So now I have a goal :) Unfortunately - it looks like another 15 lbs before I get into size 12's. And then another 14 lbs to my size 10's. DANGIT!!!

I had never heard of this "peanut butter powder" before. I just googled it... read about it... and ordered it. This is GREAT! I can't wait to throw it in a smoothie!!! And then immediately after making that smoothie, I want to make one of these eggs... Sounds YUMMY!

I have always said that when it came to weight, being tall was a blessing and a curse. You can put on 10 lbs and not even realize it. Your clothes can still fit, no one will really notice at all. But then again - that's probably why I got 60 lbs overweight - because it only FELT like 30. So by the time I really started…

Oh - I know it will... I have lost it before... which only makes it that much worse... It has been gone BEFORE!!!! UGH!!

I like the idea of starting a thread for each level. We should start a Before thread and an after thread and my earlier suggestion of a "victories" thread (scale and non-scale). And I think you are right about following what feels "right" to you. I am going to make every attempt to do 30 days straight because I have seen…

If you don't have a heart rate monitor (HRM), then most people use "Circuit Training, General". When I was doing that then later got a HRM, it was accurate within about 35 calories.
-
I have no idea... but i did 10 days of level 1 - spread over about 3 weeks - because I was going to the gym and taking a rest day from time to time. Then I started level 2. I did that 1 day, then I haven't gone back to it since. I am still going to the gym, running, etc - but I put Jillian on hold. I have been saying I…

This is me! The only calories I "drink" come in for the form of Jack Daniels ;)
-
Not sure if anyone has said it already - but I was (and am) so put off by the texture - but want the healthy aspects of it - I would buy the small single serving containers and mix one container of that with one container of greek yogurt (one of the ones with fruit). Mix it all together and sprinkle some granola or grape…

And my problem is that I am not losing hardly any around my waist or my lower stomach. It's TICKING ME OFF!!!
-
Oh - And then last week, I took a new picture of my face. The one I posted on MFP I took after about 9lbs lost. So I thought - maybe if I take a new head shot I could compare the two and tell a difference. BARELY. And I think I was just trying to convince myself.

This is me exactly... when I want to splurge on nice jeans that are going to last... the Buckle (XXLong). Expensive... but fit SOOOO good.

^^^ Said perfectly. I think you look great in it. If your husband thinks you look hot, go for it. I wouldn't dance in it, but maybe to a dark, intimate club. You and the hubby - corner table - you in that dress... Yeah, it could be a fun night ;)
-
^^^ This is me. If I know that I am going to be eating a big meal, I exercise harder. I pre-burn calories. Then my "cheat" becomes a well earned prize. And some days the opportunity to pre-burn isn't there, but know that I have been good, then I enjoy it. But I have never been a fan of regularly scheduled cheat days,…

That is me.... Frustrating. 18 pounds down and still wearing the same damn jeans... Grrrrrr

I have to post here simply to save this in my history. If I am ever feeling like giving up or thinking I can never get back to where I want to be, I will come here and you will remind me. Great, great work. Congratulations!

This is so true. I used to go out to one fairly regular and could always find some tall cowboys to dance with. My current boyfriend I met 5 years ago on MySpace! HAHAHA!! (I love telling people that!) He is 6'4" (I am 6'2"). On MySpace you could search by age, sex, location, and height. I met a lot of guys there. It was…

I was JUST looking at that the other day and can't decide if I want to take the leap to start that one. Are you fan of his other novels? I know this one is really different. I am one of those people who can't "give up" on a book so once I start I will finish but I don't want to be dragging through 800 pages for the next…
