  • 30 Day Shred. 25 minutes per day and all you need are hand weights and a very small workout area. DVD is $10. 3 workouts on the DVD, you do each one for 10 days. Just about the time you are getting sick of one, you start a new workout. It's a nice shock to the system... and it gives you a good all over workout.
  • Mine doesn't have a picture... but I keep his number saved in case he tries to call me I don't want to accidently answer it. But his name... it's been permanently changed to "Fecal Cranium". Think about it for a second... I was going to name him the literal version of this, but then I realized my best friend's name is…
  • Such a great post Karen! Thanks for sharing! I am only on workout 1B-2 today, but I already know that I will feel what you feel. Already my confidence is growing. Already I feel stronger. Already I enjoy it (this part... enjoying it... is the most difficult for me to find and so it makes me the happiest). I tell everyone…
  • I have to say... feeling the burn from only going 90 degrees... I can't imagine what I will feel from going ATG. OUCH. But I will give it a shot!
  • HOLY FREAKING CRAP! That is amazing. Simply amazing. Thanks so much for sharing!!
  • Saving, saving, saving this!!!!
  • Okay - I decided to go ahead and post results today. I may still do it for a day or two, but I won't have time to measure and post again for a bit... I posted a blog... so instead of doing everything twice... go here if you are interested in reading!…
  • Well, with being in the middle of finals, I jacked up my 30DS schedule a little and took Thurs and Frid off. So that means although I should be done tomorrow, I will need to Monday and Wednesday (Tues has no time) if I want to really complete my original planned schedule. You want to know a secret? I don't know if it is…

  • Today... Level 3, Day 3... is the first time I have ever told Jillian to "SHUT UP!" Yes, I realize I am talking to a DVD. But when she gets to the point of saying "I know you want to turn off the DVD... etc etc..." I wanted to punch her in the face. Is that normal? Does that make me crazy? Level 3 is my nemesis. I will…

  • I'm sore! This is the first time since Level 1 that I have actually been sore. I am really sore in my back and shoulders. And then a little in my hip flexors. I like being sore - it makes me feel like I am doing something great to my body! Today is my rest day and I think I need it... because my right knee was hurting…

  • Did Day 1 of Level 3 yesterday. And my question is... WHY, oh WHY must we jump so much??? Those jumping lunges... I sounded like a sailor during those... I believe the words "You have GOT to ****ing kidding me!" came out of my mouth at least 3 times during this workout. That all being said... if I can actually live through…

  • I just typed this really funny, witty, LONG post about my completion of level 2 and how all the exercises turned out for me. Then suddenly my internet browser went "back" and everything I typed was gone. It's 11:45 at night and I'm not doing it again. So here is the short version... Finished level 2. On to level 3. Still…

  • Have you been to this site? http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/ Specifically I use the Military Body Fat Calculator. I also have a bathroom scale that gives me a body fat percentage and the numbers on that compared with the numbers I get from the calculator on the website are usually pretty close.
  • Bump.... good question!
  • The way my schedule works I do 30DS Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon then take Tues off. Lets just say... I am SO glad today is a rest day. I don't really like level 2 at all. The plank stuff reminds me how weak my upper body is and this morning as I was walking now the stairs I noticed my knees were hurting a little. Level 2 is giving me…

  • This is exactly why I haven't looked at level 3 yet... since I am only doing 7 days on each level, I am really scared of level 3. I did Day 5 of level 2 today and I still can't get all the way through the squat thrusts or the plank jacks (at full level). I also have go slower on the arm lifts so I don't get as many reps in…

  • That's hilarious! I bought those same two books about 3 weeks ago. I have read the NROL4W and I am starting it the first of May (finishing up a 30 Day Shred challenge in April). I have a whole spreadsheet ready to go and everything. The Big Book of Exercises will be good for later, after NROL to just give you some new…
  • Hello all! I just recently joined this group after lurking for awhile. I am HORRIBLE at keeping up with the boards so I don't post a lot. If they could figure out how to let me jump directly to my post and only read what came after, maybe I would be better... but I digress... My name is Jennifer (or Jen). I am 34 years…
  • Welcome to the Shred, Amanda! If you haven't found it already, thre is a topic on this group called "what is your 30DS schedule" where people have discussed exactly this. You will quickly see a lot of different responses and schedules. I personally am doing 7 workouts in every 9-10 days so that I can do it all in one month…
  • Hahaha! Your post and your profile picture made me laugh out loud! I have finished 3 days of level 2 today and everyday, the first thing I say at the end is "I hate that b*tch." But as my boyfriend keeps reminding me, I will love her when it's done....

  • I am currently doing 30 Day Shred for the month of April and I am going to start NROLFW in May. I I am getting really excited about this workout plan. I have even built a crazy spreadsheet to track the workouts (actually I modified one I found online). Your pictures motivate me even more! When you say you are not following…
  • OKay - Level 2 begun today for me! As I have said previously, I did the level 2 for 1 day about a month ago and then I quit and went back to all cardio all the time. So today, I can say that I am stronger this time around. I was able to do more. But those squat thrusts and plank jacks KILL ME!! So I had to take a few quick…

  • Yeah, I have been using 5lb weights for 1 and from what I can remember, I probably need to plan for getting some lighter ones for level two....

  • Well.... today will be my last day of Level 1. Tomorrow is a rest day and then I start Level 2 on Wednesday. Overall, Level 1 this time has not been SO bad - don't get me wrong, I am sweating my butt off and feel like my chest is going to explode and my calfs are on fire... but, I have been able to get through it all.…

  • I have meant to post this for a week now, but I could never seem to coordinate having the measurements I wrote down near me when I was at a computer to post. So - here is my beginning. I did take before pictures, but I am going to wait until the "after" and I will post them side by side. SW: 208 Upper Waist: 35 Lower…
  • For me, I know I won't be actually doing the workout for a full 30 times... I will actually only do it 21 times. BUT - I have to have rest days because of my schedule and I really want to contain this to the month of April so that it is a quick and achievable goal. As I said when I posted my schedule, my results may not be…
  • In an effort to not "reply" to 25 posts, I just wanted to stop in an say how nice it is to meet all of you. I already did my intro (see page 1) but I love the excitement coming from this group. I am completely dedicated and motivated as a result of it. I have taped my 30DS shred schedule to my bathroom mirror and I will be…
  • Hahaha!!! Great minds!!
