  • Besides the sweat and muscle fatigue, my face is bright red, sometimes I'm shaky and I feel a little light headed. I'm so hot that I crave an ice cold shower to cool myself down.
  • Hi Fran - I'm Elly and I wish you much success on here. It has helped me immensely. Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • I still eat fast food on occasion. It is definitely not as often as I used to. Also, I am conscious about the calories and will opt for the smaller portions or lower calorie items. Hope this helps.
  • good job so far! I would be glad to be your friend. :)
  • Getting 8 glasses is really a struggle for me. Sometimes I think something is wrong with my thirst mechanism. No matter how hard I work out or how much I perspire, I rarely feel thirsty. I have to force myself to stop and drink. I don't drink soda anymore. I do try to make myself drink at least 6 glasses a day.
  • After I had my 6th child at 41 my weight didn't come off like it had with my previous pregnancies (She is 10 years younger than my next youngest child). I didn't bounce back energy-wise. I was really tired and didn't exercise much any more. My metabolism had slowed down, but I continued to eat the same amount I used to.

  • Not bad at all! It's the first day of the rest of your life, and always a good time to start something. If you need friends or support, feel free to add me too.
  • Welcome back! What a great way to start the new year. The support of this site has been great for me. It is so easy to fall off track, and the encouragement of others, I have hung in there. Feel free to add me.
  • Welcome! I would be glad to support you. I've appreciated the support of others many times myself. It is so easy to just give up; especially if you have a bad day or aren't feeling well. A message of "Hey, where are you?" is just the encouragement I've needed to get back on track. Feel free to add me.
  • Hello - welcome Your attitude and determination will definitely steer you in the right direction on the road to weight loss success. Setting small goals is a very helpful way to keep going. Reaching each goal gives one such a sense of accomplishment. Also, keeping track of the food and exercise is an excellent way to stay…
  • fat free yogurt is always a good staple. I usually have one for dessert or when I want something sweet and creamy. Also the light soups are a great low-calorie meal that warms you up.
  • That is awesome. You should be proud of your accomplishment! I'm hoping to be there someday too! :)
  • I haven't tried it, but I'm interested to know if it works.
  • I certainly understand how you feel. I haven't dated for about 8 years now. I keep thinking it probably isn't worth trying to find someone at my age. I also tell myself that I am perfectly content on my own with my kids and grandkids. However, when I'm alone I think it would be nice to find someone to share things with.…
  • With that awesome attitude, you definitely will do it this time. I'm right there with you!
  • Welcome and good job on your weight loss so far. Just learning to eat right and get the right balance of exercise is a struggle. Hopefully, after doing it for a while it will just become a habit. I wish you the best of luck on your journey. Feel free to add me if you'd like.

  • Thanks for the healthful information and the recipes. They all sound very good. I can't wait to try it.
  • Feel free to add me. I would be glad to have another friend on this weight loss journey. Good luck to you too!
  • Welcome back! It is really hard to stay on track sometimes, but you should pat yourself on the back for jumping back on the wagon!
  • What a great incentive those pants were, and what an accomplishment to be able to get them on again! Good for you! That is just awesome.
  • I walk my grandchildren to school instead of driving them. When I take them to the park I play with them instead of sitting and watching.
  • That is a great story. It is amazing that you came to the realization that you could do it on your own. What a great start too. Keep up the good work!
  • It looks like you are doing well so far - keep up the good work! The website is great for meeting others for support and interaction.
  • I've been doing it for about a week and it is going pretty good. Having the tools and support is very helpful to me. I never realized how many calories some of the foods I was eating had until I started keeping track. Definitely an eye opened, and a good one. Also, it is nice to keep track of exercise even if it is just…
  • I like the low fat Italian. Also, I like the ranch you make yourself in the package. You can add buttermilk and/or fat free yogurt and it will be lower in calories but still has a good flavor.
  • I'm pretty new too and am finding it very helpful so far.:flowerforyou:
  • I, too, was glad to find this site. This is my third day and I can see how helpful it is. It seems that tracking my calorie intake makes me pay more attention to what I'm eating, but I am often surprised that it is more than I thought I would be able to eat on a diet. I hope that your headaches are gone while following…
  • thanks for your support!
