I am pretty healthy and in pretty good shape so I realize that it won't just fall off. I really want to tone up further but if I had to put a number on it I would say I want to loose 10lbs or so. Toning is my primary goal- stubborn areas like thighs and tummy.

Man- I never get good at the plank cardio or at push ups! But they do get easier than they were before. I have pretty much finished the DVD. I maybe lost an inch or inch and a half (the inch being from my boobs- perfect!). Anyway- is it silly for me to stick with JM workouts since I don't see significant results??? Should…

Sorry to hear about this- ouch! I have no idea and am not much of a runner...but I am working up to it. I read an article today that said some people may develop hip pain from running on the same side of the road all the time (yes the side you are supposed to but still). Good luck!

yum!

Me too all of these things! I always feel bad but I have trouble- the couple at the grocery store yesterday blocking the aisle as they were so obese they were using motorized carts...the girl that seats near me at school who is very overweight that has a donut, juice, and large frappacino every day... I am going to work on…

Hey folks! I have about 2 days left on the the 4th week- yay! I made it through! I was curious what others are planning to do next... I will finish the last few days but am eager to start something new to add now as I saw a only very small change in measurements and a little definition in the arms- I love that part! So…

If it helps folks to know what actually happens... I used to work with people that had mental illnesses and one of my clients worked at Pizza Hut. There were some days he struggled and I had to help him at work...they put the frozen dough in the pan, use a huge pump to pump an insane amount of grease onto the dough just to…

thanks

I have seen some of this and have been meaning to do some research. I agree with the fear mongering thing... I have seen that soy is highly genetically modified (shocking!) so I have heard finding a non gmo one helps. I am interested in what others know about this... Thanks!

5am- I feel like I could use more time in the am but I just can't go earlier than that.

What a great difference! Congratulations! Anyone having the opposite? The scale is moving but no visible change or diff. in measurements?

These are my choice as well. I have found some blue corn chips that are better also but I can't give any brand names off hand. Kale chips sounds interesting- mine have never turned out well.

Yep, I do Greek yogurt. Nuts and beans too but mostly the yogurt

That is great that you are seeing results! I am about to move on to level 4 and haven't had much change. I was hoping to see some inches go but nothing :( I will go ahead and do week 4 but I am not so motivated and kind of want to try something else. Oh well... At least I don't have more inches:)

Just as another option- I stopped using protein powder since so many of them have so much weird stuff in them and have been loving greek yogurt as a protein replacement! Vanilla and fresh fruit- most of the days protein, much more natural for me! Good luck!

Hey there! I wanted to share my recent experience...I had felt stuck for sooo long- months! I recently started loosing weight pretty quickly and the only big change I made was protein. I have been eating about a cup of greek yogurt per day and after no change for months have lost about 4 lbs in about 3 weeks! It could be…

Hey there! It does feel like the weight is more obvious being small- I am 4'11 and 28 years old. A few years ago I had a lung disease that required long term steroid treatment; I gained quite a few lbs.!!!! When I finally got better I was at 142; the first 10 lbs came off pretty quickly and it has taken more work but I am…

Hello MFPers! I always see posts about quick lunch ideas, eating healthy on a budget, and protein. So I just wanted to share one of my favs for this predicament. As a grad student I try to be budget conscious, never have enough time, always trying to be healthy, and always need more protein. I love to eat/take to school…

I agree with most of the posts...it depends on the relationship I suppose. I say this with the kindest intention as I feel you are asking for honest answers- if I felt like I couldn't make a small post, I would feel perhaps we have a trust/jealousy problem. I don't even note the gender of individuals I talk to on here...…

He he- good point! I did drink a beer watching so I am sure I made up for it! It was very stressful!
-
Do you mind sharing how you make it over your protein? Vegetarian sources?
-
Hmm, I don't mind it terribly. I do feel like it doesn't focus so much on abs but I also know that all the plank moves do engage abs. I am glad you are seeing some results in muscle tone. I guess we need to just keep working at it! A few lbs change could be natural fluctuations that happen I suppose. As I write this I am…

Hey there, how is Ripped in 30 going for you? I was just interested in results that you are experiencing... I am excited to report that added protein seems to be helping and I have lost a few pounds. However, I was hoping to see that I was more toned or lost an inch all around or something. I am on day 4 of week 3 and…

This is why I stopped logging- I still use the website to exchange ideas but needed to relax and let the pressure go. Good luck! I just started trying to focus on making healthy decisions and listening to my body. Remember you are a lot more than your body and quality of life is impt!

http://www.cookingquinoa.net/quinoa-recipes http://www.cookingquinoa.net/ I loooove this one: Quinoa-Stuffed Acorn Squash: • 1 acorn squash • 1 T butter • 1 C quinoa • 2 C chicken/veggie stock or broth (reduced sodium) • 1 T extra virgin olive oil • 1 small yellow onion, chopped finely • 4 garlic cloves, minced • 2…

Of course- made from corn! I forget about eggs also- they kind of weird me out so I usually have to hide them in other things:) Good luck with you protein search. There are tons of yummy quinoa recipes online and on MFP, here is a website and one of my favorite quinoa recipes: http://www.cookingquinoa.net/quinoa-recipes…

I do really like using these wedges- however, I am concerned about how natural they are. Anyone know much about them- what is in them? Chemicals? Thanks!
-
I sympathize! While I do eat some fake meat products I am strictly vegetarian- no fish. I get my protein from Greek yogurt, beans, nuts, and quinoa. I am interested in ideas though! It does help that the yogurt has many purposes- I use it to make dressings dip, subs for sour cream, add it to make creamy sauces...lots of…

I'm here I 'm here! I like to be positive and encouraging! There are plenty of us out there- Sorry that they seem to be hiding in a sea of negativity! I have been hearing a lot of that lately- yuck! Lets drown them out! Add me if you like!
