Sorry you are soo frustrated! I had sort of just come to terms with the idea that my body was not going to loose more as I felt I had done everything I could- and then I added more protein. I feel like I am replying this all over the boards but it is just crazy to me what a difference it has made. I hadn't lost weight in…

yum- thanks

Alright- getting ready to do week 3. I am nervous after the comments on here. I feel like I could do another day or 2 on level 2 but parts have gotten pretty easy and I am getting bored...we can't have that! Good luck!

4'11- and fine with it:)

Congratulations on deciding to make a change! I am into healthy food and love to exercise so please let me know if there is anything particular I can help with or add me if you just need someone to cheer you on.

have to try this...thanks

When I started using MFP I tracked everything and began to feel like I was eating more because I was spending sooo much time thinking about eating and what to eat and when... I stopped tracking to see how it went and then started to loose some weight. I just needed to listen to my body and make smart decisions about food.…

Hey folks! Just hoping to get some opinions- do you do a certain number of days/a week on each level and move on if ready or do you move on sooner if you feel ready? I am on level 2 and have been so for about a week. As expected the level has gotten much easier but I am not sure if I should move on. Push ups are an example…

sounds good, thanks

I looove Bikram- the most refreshing amazing feeling- although I get a little of that with all exercise! I can't afford it right now which saddens me... I do believe that it requires caution as any exercise- listen to your body, start slow if you need to, if you aren't in shape- work up to it and rest when needed. Listen…

Soo many questions... I am interested in what you recommend- I am 28, 4'11 and about 117. I am pretty healthy but want to tone up and could loose a few pounds. I am a graduate student so I am always short on time- or late already:) I tend to do a 30 minute circuit workout in the mornings and cardio (usually jog, sometimes…

always glad to find these, thanks!

My husband is 13 years older than I am. I think it makes a difference when you are passed your early 20's or so.
-
Mine never work either...I am open to ideas though!

yum

I think that depends on your current fitness levels. I think Ripped in 30 is harder but you can pace yourself and keep doing week one until you get it down. Try it out- see how it goes! Good luck!

I am on day 3 of level and getting bored...would be glad to have some folks to help keep me on track:)

I have felt this way for quite some time also. I recently added some protein powder to my diet and have started loosing again without any other real changes. It seems like my body may have been doing the best it could with what I was giving it but with some fuel is functioning even better. I agree that our bodies likely…

I don't know if this is a good option but the elliptical machine may be easier, it is pretty low impact. Other ideas... If you had access to a pool or there is a community pool that is great exercise, perhaps you could do upper body and core exercise. Perhaps some yoga or pilates would be a nice change and give your ancle…

good to know, thanks

Good luck in your decision making! Hmm- I don't think I ever want someone to use a special tool to measure my fat by pinching- eek, no way!

I love quinoa!!! I think there is quite a lot you can do with it...I recommend cooking it in veggie stock though, gives it some flavor. Good luck! Oh also, some brands are better than others so I would try a few, we buy the Azteca, it costs a little more but it is worth it.

Ripped in 30 is harder overall. I am doing Ripped in 30 but days I want to work out longer I add a 30DS after or if I am in a huge hurry or sore I still do a 30 DS.

Admirable goals Ben! Good luck and congratulations on the changes you have made already!

I can understand being nervous about adding calories. I can only speak to what has worked for me- I use about half the serving size of protein powder which adds about 55 calories to my day and have lost more in the last two weeks and in the last 6 months. It seems that protein must have been something my body was really…

I know it is for a good cause but how long can this bake sale outside my classroom go on??!!!!
-
One more thing to add- since I do feel like I eat quite a bit of protein, and as the stuff is kind of expensive I have only been about half the one serving packet each day or dividing it into 3 days. So it seems- a little more protein may go a long way!

I am vegetarian but I do eat some yogurt, beans, and cheese/cottage cheese. I also use soy protein products to try to get what I need but I think I was still not eating enough. Also- the one I have been using is called Spiru-tein Whey- I am not sold on it just trying a few out still. I tried one that was the most natural…
