I love John Freida products! I'm currently using the Brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioner. Oh, and I use Artec color depositing shampoo to keep my red hair, well red. I wish they would bring back the John Freida Reds collection though. I loved the way it smelled. My hair is just as soft and shiny with the Brunette…

So I've been doing this for just over a week, and I've lost 4 lbs so far. It's crazy because I didn't even lose that much when I first started oh so many months ago. I've been averaging 4-5 lbs a month since the beginning, no matter what I was doing, so losing that much in a week was a surprise. I doubt I will continue to…

I usually use Fuji apples, so I don't have to add sweetener. And then I just halve them, place them open side up in a baking dish with maybe an inch of water in the bottom. Sprinkle a bit of cinnamon, cover and bake. I think I bake them at 350 for 20 minutes, but it's been awhile.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to get some spanx so I can wear it now, while the weather is still nice enough. I plan on the dress being way too big for me by next summer, so I want to enjoy it while I can. :)

Chili's has some decent choices. I usually get the margarita chicken. Everything has too much sodium, but they have quite a few dinner plates for under 600 calories. It's a good idea to check a restaurant's website before going out, just to you have a plan (especially if you want dessert) and a lot of places will have…

BMR is how many you need if you laid in bed and literally did nothing for 24 hours. Your maintenance calories are higher because it is set based on the lifestyle you entered. So even if you set it at sedentary, you still burn calories when you do normal daily stuff. That said, for me I think MFP over-estimates my calories.…

I use Nature's own whole wheat (no HFCS) for pbj's - 50cal, 2fib per slice. And I use rye bread for my spinach sandwiches.

I had a hard time losing weight when I had the Mirena in, but that was the entire 2 years, not just during TOM. I lost 20 lbs within the first 3 months of having it taken out, without trying. *sigh* If only it were always that easy... So my point is that you probably won't have any problems. Most gains during TOM are water…

I'm not a doctor, but I think it's certainly an allergic reaction. And if eating meat is the only thing different (no new lotions or soaps, or any other new foods, I assume?) then it sounds like a meat allergy to me. I knew a guy once who said he was allergic to meat. He had been tested or something, and it had something…

Love this! Thanks for posting.

Wow! Thank you for posting this! I've been losing weight since April, and I've been in a bad mood for a lot of that time. But I seriously never made the connection to my diet until now. Thinking back, whenever I've been strict with calories, I've had zero patience for my husband and kids. I felt like I was going crazy,…

Cut them in half, cut out the seeds and core, place in a glass baking dish (cut side up) with a half inch of water on the bottom. You can sprinkle them with a little cinnamon if you'd like. Cover and bake. I can't remember the temp and time to bake though. I want to say 350 degrees F for 20 minutes? My kids LOVE this…

lol I just assume that everyone has as much laundry waiting to be folded as I do. That sounds like a great plan, btw! I hope it works for you. :)

You look amazing!! I love seeing people with the same start weight and goal weight as me posting their progress. It gets me all excited for accomplishing my own goals. Thank you for being an inspiration! :flowerforyou:

You could try having a snack at 4:30 or 5, so you aren't starving by the time you get home. And try to find things to keep you busy during that time, like working out or folding laundry.

I live south of Houston, and yeah, it's HOT! This is my first summer here, so I'm not used to it yet. :grumble: I didn't hear about the HOA thing, but that's crazy! I've been wanting to start the C25K program, and everyday I tell myself that it won't be so bad in the evening after the Hubs gets home. But it's still hot,…

Since the healthy BMI range for my height is pretty big, I decided to go after the "type" of body I want. So I picked based on how I want to look, rather than a number on the scale. http://www.mybodygallery.com/ <---- This site helped me figure that out. :)

Thanks AggieCass09 and HealthyBlkGirl for your suggestions. I'm hoping I can get new shoes this weekend, and I'll definitely try a running store to get fitted. And I'll check into the vibrams too! Thanks! :)

ocds - I've never been to a chiropractor, but I'll look into it. I always assumed that they couldn't adjust my spine since it's fused to the rods. But maybe they have some advice? Thank you for the suggestion! :) raychybabe - I walked on my toes too, and ended up with achilles pain for a couple years. I usually work out…

When I was pregnant, I wanted to avoid sodas, and I always avoid artificial sweeteners. So I would mix mineral water (plain, no sweetener) and 100% fruit juice together. It satisfied my "need" for soda but it has 1/2 the sugar. :)

Vegetables!! My biggest discovery in this journey has been that when you bulk up your diet with veggies, it makes it so much easier to stay within your calorie goals and it pratically makes the weight fall off. I feel like I've discovered the "magic pill" of weight loss. lol So that's my advice... Eat your vegetables! :)

Yesterday's totals: grapes - 1 cup carrots - 2 (1 lg, 1md) roma tomato - 1 cucumber - 1 lg broccoli - 2 cups red bell pepper - 1 lg peaches - 2 sm I'm not sure how many servings that is exactly (10? 14?) but it's definitely more than normal! Thanks for posting this challenge. :)

How is everyone doing with all the veggies & fruit? So far today, I've had a cup of grapes, 2 carrots, 1 cucumber & 1 tomato. :)

Great idea!! I'm in! ^^ And thanks for the serving size list. ^^

I friend of mine recently lost about 30 lbs, and then started feeling sick/nauseous everyday. Turned out, it was gallstones, and her doctor said that it sometimes happens after weight loss. For her, it went past just being nauseous all the time, to pain and vomiting, so she had her gall bladder removed. But if upping your…

We had Beans-&-Weenies for dinner. Not the healthiest meal, but it fits your criteria. :) 1 cup Bush's Best Original Baked Beans 1 link Oscar Mayer Selects Premium Beef Franks (No nitrates or nitrites added) 1 large cucumber, peeled and sliced (on the side, not mixed in) = 494 calories & 19 grams fat

I'm 5'5" and I don't plan to go below 150, but... I thought this site might help you: http://www.mybodygallery.com/

I think they have less sodium than other frozen meals. Of course, eating whole foods, and not processed, is better for you, but if your choice is between a Lean Cuisine or fast food, then Lean Cuisine is likely the better choice for both your waist and your wallet. :)

Great idea! I've only had my juicer about a week, so I don't have much to contribute as far as recipes yet. But here's my favorite so far... 7 granny smith apples 1 inch piece ginger 3 black plums 11 yellow squash (Makes about 60 ounces) The squash mellows out the sweetness without adding any bitterness, so it's very…
