Black coffee gives me heartburn for some reason. I used to use flavored creamers, but when I discovered MFP I decided to transition to a cleaner diet, starting with the foods I consumed the most. And coffee creamer was the first to go! I tried different types of milk, and I switched to honey for a sweetener. Eventually I…

I have an android also, and the app I got is called C25K Pro. There is a free version also from the same guy, but the pro version was like $1.60 so I just went with that to get all the features. The program has you alternating walking and jogging, and it's around 30 minutes 3 times a week. If you have a medical condition…

I'm starting it this week! I tried to start last week, but I couldn't get the app to work on my phone. Over the weekend, I got a new app, so I'm doing Day 1 tomorrow. Everyone in my town is all excited about The Slacker Half Marathon (http://slackerhalfmarathon.com/) going on here in a couple weeks, and I really want to be…

Yes, people say that, but if I'm spending $60+ on a bra, it's going to be my exact size. I wore the wrong size for years, because that's all I could find at department stores. But now that I've found my favorite bras in my actual size, I could never go back to wearing bras that don't fit right.

I just noticed this reply. This site might be helpful also: http://www.biggerbras.com/ I haven't ordered from them, but it looks like you can search by size. Also, a 44I in US standard sizes is the same as a 44G from European manufacturers. My favorite brands are Fantasie and Freya, and my sports bra is by Elomi. Good…

http://www.breakoutbras.com/ Pretty much the only place I buy bras now.

Within 5 minutes of posting this, there was a big flash of lightning and it started hailing. The sun is back out now, but I'm not sure if I trust it. I think getting struck by lightning might ruin running for me.

Going for my second run tonight, just as soon as my husband gets home. I'm not sure the distance, but I'm aiming for 45 minutes (half walking, half jogging). My first run was on Monday, and I LOVED it! I can't wait to get back out there. :)

Bump - Because I was just about to post a similar question. I got a new measuring tape and calipers today, and then I tried calculators from various websites thanks to a google search. My results are somewhere between 27.2% and 47.8%, which isn't very helpful. :grumble: Is there an accurate way to measure body fat without…

lol Yeah, I'll go with this one.

Awesome! I'm so proud of you, and I don't even know you. Thank you for sharing your victory! :flowerforyou:

I have a cheap blender that sucks at crushing ice. But it does a decent job with frozen fruit and raw spinach.

I'm so surprised by how many people are wearing 2 bras. It just seems like it would be agony trying to work out like that. I often resent having to wear even one bra.

That I can do it. It has always seemed so impossible, but now I know that I am capable of changing my lifestyle and changing my body.

Great job! I can definitely see a difference. :flowerforyou: How much have you lost?

http://www.breakoutbras.com/product/Elomi-Energise-Underwire-Sports-Bra/Sports-Bras ^^ I have this one, and nothing moves. That website has a bunch of other sports bras in bigger sizes (in case you don't want an underwire).

You are so amazing!! Thank you for sharing your story. :flowerforyou:

Great job!! :)

I also have rods in my spine, and I've recently discovered that I can do a bunch of the ab exercises with a stability ball. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZKS5SvIXNY Particularly the prone knee crunches. I'm totally addicted to those. I still can't do anything that requires the spine to bend, but I'm excited to…

I had lentils and chicken for lunch today, which came out to 32g protein for somewhere around 268 calories.

I love this thread!! Thank you to all who have posted. You're all beautiful and inspiring. :flowerforyou: I can't wait to add my own pics.

Bump (Because I'm trying to figure this out right now also)

eggs, yogurt, milk (cow's, almond, whatever), meats, fish... I don't think you should cut out all foods with fiber in them, but eat smaller amounts of fiber-rich foods at a time. So instead of having fruit and porridge for breakfast, you could eat fruit and eggs. You're still getting some fiber, and it would be close to…

This is a great example of how different people need different diets. I was wrong in assuming OP couldn't eat too much fiber. The reason I aim to eat 40-50g of fiber per day is because I was diagnosed with diverticulosis last year. I have always had a very slow digestive system, and it was normal to go 3 days without a BM.…

I think your fiber amounts look fine, and your diary overall seems great (full of fruits & veggies). So if you need to up your calories, I'd suggest adding a bit more protein. As long as you are drinking enough water, you aren't going to eat too much fiber. And I personally think the "experts's" recommendations for 25-30g…

I started doing 30DS, but I can't stand Jillian's voice. So now I do my own circuit training routines while watching tv. You can absolutely do circuit training at home without a bunch of expensive equipment. Over the last year, I've added 5 lb dumbbells, a step stool ($6 rubbermaid one instead of a traditional step…

I think yours is set to 1490, and that sounds like a good place to start. As far as macros, I like 40% carbs, 30% fat, 30% protein personally. I feel happy and balanced when I stick to that. When I eat more carbs, I feel hungrier overall.
