You've been given some great advice already, so I just wanted to add that on the days where you eat fruits and veggies, you make better choices overall. On the days where you eat almost none, you tend to go over on your calories. :)

Amen! "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7

[/quote] I've heard similar statements, and the way I understand it is: 100 calories of spinach has roughly the same amount of protein as 100 calories of steak. Or something like that. Actually, as I'm typing this I think I remember the comparison being between broccoli and lean beef. But don't quote me. It makes sense to…

I use 3lb and 5lb weights for 30DS, but I also just do the motions without the weights for some of the moves. My shoulders don't like Jillian. :glasses: You could try canned beans or something, if you really want to have something weighted in your hands.

I'm supposed to be on a high-fiber diet, and lately I've been eating a lot of lentil soup. It has something like 20 grams of fiber per serving (1 cup). I also keep my pantry stocked with Fiber One Honey Clusters cereal so I can keep my numbers up on days I don't feel like cooking. It has less sugar than a lot of other high…

Hi Melissa, Welcome to MFP! I am also a homeschool mom of 3 (ages 8, 4, & 2) and it's a challenge for me to workout like I plan. Time management is not a skill that comes easily for me, so I'm always struggling to balance school, taking care of the house, and taking care of myself. It sounds like you're off to a great…

I'm sorry to drop out within the first week, but "life" is so overwhelming for me right now. And it doesn't look like it's getting easier anytime soon. So for my own sanity, I'm getting rid of all non-neccessary responsibilities in my life. I wish you all the best!!

So I was lazy yesterday. After church, we watched football all day, and I never got around to working out. I'm planning to do it twice today for my punishment. lol I'm so proud of all of you for pushing through the pain and getting it done!! Oh, and I can't make the banner work. Can you message me also with the link?

D1L1 done!! I really really didn't want to workout today. I'm PMSing and feeling so lazy, but I did it just for you girls! I even got my husband to attempt it with me tonight. He did maybe half before giving up, and then he just sat there and watched me. lol I'm so proud of all of you for getting it done today! You're…

I've never made it past level 1, so I'm really excited for this challenge! :)

I order all my bras online because regular stores don't carry my size. And when I find a bra I love, I start searching ebay for them to get them cheaper. breakoutbras.com and figleaves.com are the sites I order from most, especially when they have a good sale. :)

I stuck with it for just over a week, and I plan to go back to it once life settles down a bit (we are int he process of moving from one state to another). Here is what I posted on another thread last week: So I've been doing this for just over a week, and I've lost 4 lbs so far. It's crazy because I didn't even lose that…

I love Chick-fil-a! They have some great choices for eating healthier. And that's great that she was so encouraging. :)

I had Mirena in for 2 years, but not the coil. I'm assuming the regular one is the same hormones? Anyway, I had a hard time losing weight when I had it in, and I lost 20 lbs in the first 3 months after it was removed without changing my diet or exercise. It could've been the Mirena or it could be that I started taking…

I have a digital Weight Watchers scale that I got at Costco, and I feel like it's pretty accurate. It weighs to a tenth of a pound. I "test" it every now and then, weigh myself- eat/drink something - weigh myself again. It always changes proportionately to what I ate. :)

Congrats on losing the 22s!! It feels so great to move down a size. :)

The only vanity reason I can think of is when you're young and trying to fit in. Like when I was 14, I thought smoking made me look cool. Obviously it didn't, and by the time I quit at 29 I knew that it didn't. But once the addiction has a hold on you, it's extremely difficult to break free. I've quit and re-started more…

Ugh, I'm the same. I do great during the day, and it's like I can't stop eating after dinner. lol If I'm really being disciplined and planning ahead, I save enough calories to eat a bowl of cereal. Something high fiber but still sweet so I feel like I'm getting dessert, like frosted mini wheats. Unfortunately, I'm not very…

Baked goods. I love to bake, and I knew that cakes and muffins weren't good for you, but I never really understood how bad they were until I started loggin on here. I thought something was medically wrong with me because I was gaining weight SO quickly. But it was just all the cake I was eating. lol I've had to mostly give…

I think the brunette one smells nice too. The red one has a perfumy scent that reminds me of Calvin Klein's Eternity. After I replied to this post, I decided to check online to see if anyone still had some in stock (how I keep my supply of the sadly discontinued Artec shampoos) and of course I can buy it on Amazon. Duh!…

By bumping a post, it moves it back to the top and it saves it in "My Topics" so you can find it easily later. :)
