Take a good look at the amount of fat, carbs, protein. I find that if I keep my carbs down below recommended total I do better. Keep it up though, also, try ramping up the exercise with more variety, that is if you tend to do the same thing. Don't give up!!

I use the polar one with the strap. I think even if not completely accurate as far as calorie count it helps keep you in the range you need to be and when to slow it down a bit. continue using it! They do help
