  • 75% of my meals are all home cooked, unless I go to Fresh N Easy to buy a prepared meal like a sandwich or something small.
  • What's your maintenance calories for the day? And how much are you consuming in grams from your Macro-nutrients(fat/carbs/protein). How often are you checking your weight?
  • Fruit sugar, natural sugar, etc. All get's registered into the body as a carb, which equals calories. Regardless what food it is, sugar is sugar. Unless your consuming artificial sugar like sucralose(splenda, etc.) which is technically calorie free. Well under FDA in the U.S. anything under 5 calories, can be legally…
  • First off, what's your current maintenance calories? As long as your under your maintenance calories your at a calorie deficit. And WILL lose weight regardless. Look at it this way, 3,500 cals= 1lb. If you were eating 500 cals under your maintenance than in 7 days you will have lost 1lb from just calorie consumption alone.…

  • Foods that have moderate content of fat and protein tend to be very satiable. And keep you from craving excess food. If you eat a lot of veggies and fruits through out the day, not saying it's bad. They just tend to keep you hungry still and hence the binge eating of junk foods, etc. towards the end of your night.
  • If your consuming more calories on exercise days. Then it's because your refueling your body with sufficient amounts of nutrients to replenish what was lost during that exercise. If your eating at maintenance without any exercise at all. Then you will neither gain or lose. Weight/fat loss equals calorie deficit.
  • I don't know of any female that couldn't out due me on cardio, they're cardio masters, lol.
  • Eating clean usually pertains to not eating any fast food, junk foods, processed foods, etc. And consuming fresh fruits, meats, dairy, etc. At least that's how I personally view it.
  • Zero sugar gum, or I always try and have small snack-able foods nearby. Like a protein bar, carrot sticks, something to keep my mouth busy while low in calories. Or I get up and move around and do something to get my mind off eating something. Even though food is on my mind 24/7. Lol
  • Me too! Someone message a moderator to create a "Like" icon/button. Lol
  • Seeing the indentations in my six pack become more visible. Lol
  • Over training is definitely a hindrance to anyone's progress. Depending on the person's goal and what they're trying to achieve. The way I base over training or working out too much, is the amount of muscle loss. If i notice a significant amount of muscle is being lossed faster than fat, by monitoring body fat percentage.…
  • BMI is just base point for people, it doesn't necessarily mean it should be followed like a bible. Everyone's body composition is built and responds differently to diet and exercise. I don't even follow or look at BMI charts, it's a joke honestly. For instance if a person who has low body fat, and is muscular but heavy.…
  • Teach me! I'm a quick learner, lol. I'm always up for a new challenge.
  • No need to be guilty, if your refueling with calories to make up for the calories burned. Just make sure your consuming the proper amount of calories and macro nutrients. Like grilled chicken breast, salad with light dressing, etc. I usually suggest eating a high protein meal post work out. That is within that 500 calories…

  • Pizza is my kryptonite! Any topping any size, lol. But everything is will power. If you want to achieve a goal, you need to make sacrifices. You don't have to completely avoid junk food. Just make sure the calories in the junk food you crave is within your calorie consumption of the day. You never have to stop eating junk…

  • /\ Agreed.
  • How much body spray does that man use? Lol, I use cologne every now and then. But always use body spray with a quick second burst at least twice. Lots of men, literally drench themselves in body spray or cologne, some of which are just strong. I like the subtle type colognes/sprays. But that's just me, and I do like the…
  • When I couldn't fit into my older favorite jeans! That's when I knew I needed to drop weight/fat.
  • Get one asap! Lol, no need to wait. Get inked when your ready. I have ink work on my left forearm, and have plans to do a lot more tattoo work. People are afraid that tattoos will be too stretched out etc. It all depends on how much a person loses and gains. If your at the stage where your already maintaining your weight…
  • Depends on which sandwich you get there! Lol. If I eat subway it's always a 6" turkey breast and ham sandwich on italian white. According to their nutrition fact sheet it's 280/290 calories. Then I add lettuce, onions, tomato, pickles, jalapenos and banana peppers. With a dash of salt & pepper. No cheese and no dressings.…
  • Turkey sandwich, plain. 10-grain bread slices, a small squeeze of yellow mustard, 2 turkey slices. All I had left, need to take a trip to the grocery store, lol. Slices of onions and lettuce. Bread slices= 160 cals 2 turkey slices= ~25-30 cals Yellow mustard= 0 cals Onions= 1-5 cals Lettuce= 1-5 cals Filling, tastes good,…
  • So far it's 3.3-3.5 miles at a 9-min pace, 6.7 mph.
  • Nice!! Keep it up! For myself, being able to wear small shirts. I like the athletic fit feel where it is slight snug to my body, but not tight either. If that makes any sense. But I'm typically a medium, and can still fit in either Medium or Small. So I would say I'm like in between Small and Medium. Lol
  • Can you pin point on what part of your knee hurts? If the pain is near the patella which is in the front. Most likely it can be the Patella tendon is inflammed, due to constant impact from the ground when being active. Also known as "Jumper's Knee" Best way you can tell is pressing just below your knee cap(patella) and if…
  • Doesn't matter if its 2, 3, or even 4am in the morning. As long as your under your daily calorie intake. You WILL not gain weight/fat. It's a misconception that eating late will get you fat, etc. It's only true, IF that meal consumed goes over your calorie allowance for the day. Even if you go to sleep immediately after…
  • Water will just create the bloat affect, but WILL not hinder fat/weight loss. Everyone holds water differently, some more than others. Just continue drinking your normal rate of water and don't stress over it. Water is calorie free! Should be the last thing on your mind to worry about when losing weight.
  • The thing with calculators they all have calculate differently. Some off between 5-10, 10-15. What is your maximum heart if you know? Basic rule of thumb, 65-70% of your max heart rate will aid in fat loss, etc. But that just a base point to start with, and everyone is different. And all respond differently to exercise…
  • The XXX amount of calories remaining. Is how much calories left that you need to eat in order to reach the proper daily amount of nutrients. The net calories is how much you've actually consumed. But if you exercise then those calories burned will be subtracted from your daily consumption of calories. Which will give you a…
  • That's the beauty of how our human bodies functions. The ability to adjust to drastic changes from consuming an excess amount of calories to eating at a calorie deficit. I follow that principle as well, I give myself one cheat meal once a week. I don't count the calories in it, I simply just engorge, lol. Reason why, is…
