Week 2 and already less hungry on both fast and normal days. Been in bed since 9:30 though and again not tired at all, so my clever plan of getting early nights on fast days to avoid hunger bangs seem to back fire as loads of energy now late in the evening.

Intermittent Fasting (read: calorie restriction to 25% of daily need): two or three days of "fasting" a week. Those days eating max 500 cal so restricting carbs as high calorie value for little nutrition, other days no restrictions but eating sensibly, no processed crap.

I was also wondering doing same exercise every day - what happened to let muscles heal? So I combined with Tony Horton's 10 minute trainer which worked out well for me.

Thanks Emma, just to report that I felt really hungry in the evening of day 2 so had 1/2 cucumber and an Apple around 9 pm which brought calories just above 500, but despite wanting an early night I couldn't sleep so tossing and turning well past 1 am! Anybody experienced this with 5:2? Triinu

I started this week as well, doing it for health reasons as well as weight. I'm doing it on Tuesday's and Thursdays, Day 2 is going ok, just about to leave office, have had 1 boiled egg with 1/2 ryvita type of bread for breakfast (100 cal), 1/2 carton of New Covent Garden soup (96 cal), 1/2 pot of Graze Love Mix (55 cal)…
