Why would any of you end up not eating your exercise calories.... MFP already sets a value that is very low and meant to be valid only if you also log your exercise calories. All of you who are not eating back your exercise calories are just slowing down your metabolism and making it harder to lose weight. Please visit…

Sugar- Doesn't really matter if you go over, just don't go crazy with it Protein- .8-1.5g per lb. of body weight. (if you have a high bf%, use 1g/lb. LEAN MASS) Fat- Try to get around .3-.5 g per lb body weight. Carbs- Just try to get enough to meet your calorie goal while also meeting your protein & fat requirements.…

Not a lady but 3350. ~4000 on the days I have wrestling practice and do crossfit. There is no reason for any lady to ever eat less than 1200 calories unless she is a midget or has a bmr that is less than 1200

My arms used to have 0 definition whatsoever until I started losing weight, lifting weights, and eating a higher protein intake.

depends. Sometimes I love having someone there to spot/coach me/encourage me/talk to between sets/help me rack weights. Other times I hate having someone there because I might get bothered by them.

The MFP levels are waaaaaaay too low. Try to get 1 gram per lb. of body weight.

I used to be fat my whole life. Only recently, about 9 months ago did I start becoming fit. Can't ever see myself going back to being fat ever again.

Does creatine have any negative effects on teenagers/children? My little brother who is 15 is just about to start lifting, and I was wondering if maybe later getting him some creatine would help him out. I have not found any studies or information that creatine is not safe for children/teens. Anybody's help would be…

Just drink LOTS of water. I know it sound counterproductive, but drinking tons of water nonstop will help you flush out excess water And why would you want to flush out excess water, unless you are already at low bf% and just need to look very shredded one day, or to get rid of a retained water/bloated feeling?

Training for strength is probably the most fun. I look forward to going to the gym because I love the feeling of hitting a new pr....it's amazing. It's VERY fun setting PR's and exceeding your goals. Training for hypertrophy(size) is fun because of the pump and feeling during the workout. Just lift heavy and focus on…

Losing weight with Keto (ketogenic diet) was pretty easy without calorie counting. But I loved carbs waaaaay to much to give them up 6 days a week, so I went back to using MFP and was more successful

Just putting on more muscle would not have made you gain weight. Assuming you are eating at a caloric deficit, you would have just replaced fat with muscle. If you gained weight it is because: -You were not eating at a caloric deficit -You had an extra glass of water or ate later the night before, etc. so it's just the…

1200 would be safe for you as long as you have a weekly Carb Refeed (~200 under maintenance) and eat back all your exercise calories and do not go below 1200.
-
You should NEVER eat less than your BMR. A deficit of 22 Calories per Pound of Body Fat is safe. Anything greater is not a good idea because you can slow down your metabolism, end up skinnyfat, etc. Let's say I'm 150lbs at about 14%bf and maintain at 2800 Calories/day. My fat-mass would be about 20lbs, so 22x20= a deficit…

Okay I'm just letting people know that for some of them, IIFYM might be better. I had a binge problem where I would binge about once a week, but once I started IIFYM, I never had any binges because whenever I get a temptation for something, I will give into it and it's a lot better than that temptation building up and me…

Thay's basically Intermittent Fasting, and no it does not count as a binge. Eating more meals per day does not increase your metabolism as some people believe Only 1 hour though is a little bit like a binge and I couldn't imagine eating 2100 calories in 1 hour LOL even though I eat 3300-4000 per day. With IF you eat only…
-
Why not just IIFYM instead of trying to "eat clean" then binging With IIFYM you can fit those foods into your diet...

I freakin love them. My back is so much stronger now. I also used to have kyphosis and lordosis, but stretching and deadlifts improved my posture by so much and I'd have to say my posture is perfect now. Deadlifts and low bar squats to parallel have also gotten rid of my knee and back pain. I had very weak hamstrings and…

DO NOT use the value MFP gave me. use this instead, it's waaaay more accurate (i suggest you read it) http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121703981 turns out my maintenance was 800 more than what MFP told me.

PLEASE SQUAT edit: AND DEADLIFT (MAKE SURE YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT OR IT'S A 1 WAY TICKET TO SNAP CITY)

I won't actually remove anybody. They can do whatever the **** they wanna do.
-
"If you eat 1200 calories a day, don't try to friend me" "If you are not eating enough protein you will be removed" I agree with these two. Unless you don't lift, are very short, or don't care about becoming skinnyfat/permanently messing up your metabolism.

brb doing 1 set of squats and instantly having ronnie coleman's legs
-
Still eat (almost) everything that I used to. Thanks to IIFYM I can.
-
I almost always eat poptarts PWO(post-workout) and manage to fit them into my macros. They're not going to have any bad effects on you as long as it fits into how much carb, protein, and fat you should be eating.

nothing or everything. depends on how you look at it. #IIFYM

Q: I drastically changed my diet for the better, and nothing happened after a week. Or, I suddenly stopped losing weight for a week after weeks of weight loss. What happened? A1: Maybe nothing. Sometimes weight loss has minor hiccups for no apparent reason. Maybe you had an extra glass of water the night before, or just…
