I have yet to have the priviledge of running in the run, I have always used it as an excuse not to run but after reading all these posts I might have to get out there, I diid not know all the fun I was missing.

when I first started run last year I had a toenail bruise and fall off. 2 weeks before my first race I got a pair of "running shoes" and it has not happened since. did you get your shoes from a fitness store where they will check your feet in the shoes or did you pick them out yourself?

But you didn't gain either and that is good! Do not let the numbers on the scale always define your mood or motivation. How do you feel, how do your clothes feel, are you happy about your food choices and what you are doing to make a lifestyle change...your in it to win it...keep it up!

Not sure what Turbo Jam is but it sounds intense. At least you recognize that you need to start moving again and you are still walking with your dog, so try doing something that is not as intense to start but a little bit more than what you are doing now. Not only that you lost weight on your trip, how awesome is that!!

I agree, you at least recognize this!! you can do it, you have done a great job already.

What kind of exercise are you doing? Start out small, at least getting out the door to do something you like to do, walking, running, hiking, or going to the gym. I just starting running again after a 2 month break. I agree with you, it is difficult but once I got out there it is a reminder that I love to do this. Don't be…

You sound good on your exercise. I would really stay away from your trigger foods (the ones that make you want to binge) and then I agree with the tracking. Be honest with your self we tend to underestimate how much we eat and overestimate how much we move. I know I am trying to lose the 15lbs I gained. I am really trying…

Goal for January 2012 is to lose 5-7lbs. Bring my own breakfast and lunch to work. Cook healthier meals for my family. Be consistent with my workouts 3-4 times a week.

I am my worst enemy. My biggest obstacle is falling back into the same routine of not watching my daily calorie intake. My mindset in the past has been if I have a bad day then i just keeping eating and making bad choices. If my week starts out that way then it is hard for me to refocus back until Saturday which for me is…

Good Morning I am a Surgical Charge Auditor and a future nursing student. I married, 3 children and work full time, part time student. I have about 50lbs to lose. I have been working hard at it since March of 2011 and have been able to lose 23 lbs. I am ready lost the last bit of weight but am worried when I start nursing…

sounds like you are being real hard on yourself. I think the picture idea is great, plus if your clothes feel better than it should make you feel better. Remember we don't always see the scale move but that does not mean that we are not losing in some way. Focus on what you have acheived so far. Make small goals and…

I have too also done weight watchers. Lost 25 to 30 lbs but then I would get frustrated and quit. Last time I quit I went from 183 to 196 and got tired of doing that so I decided it was time to hold myself accountable. Now I am down to 175 sine March 2011. I walk almost everyday, and go to the gym about 5 days a week. This…
