I just started using myfitnesspal again after having RNY surgery on 12/27/17. I would welcome any friends who have also had weight loss surgery. My stats: HW 248, SW 213, CW 192 Before surgery I was on 4 meds for diabetes, 1 for high blood pressure, 1 for high cholesterol. Since surgery I am off all meds, only taking…

bariatricpal.com has a good message board that would be less judgemental for your kind of question. I'm in the process of qualifying for rny early next year. Also, my local hospital has a bariatric support group that meets once a month and is free, you might try to see if there is one in your area.

Hi Mandy, I am just starting the 6 month diet that my insurance requires. I'm thinking March 2017 best case scenario. I meet all of the other requirements and I've been thinking about doing this for years. Now that I've made my decision, I'm really excited.

I am at the begging of my 6 month medically supervised diet that my insurance requires :( so I know it is going to be next year. I already meet all of the other insurance requirements. I know this is an older thread but I would welcome any new friends starting this journey.

My insurance covers the surgery but I have to do a 6 month medically supervised diet first so I know I won't be having surgery any time soon. I know I meet the other requirements for the surgery and I've been thinking about it for several years. I…

I spent the morning on pinterest looking for low carb meals. I found several pretty easy recipes, I haven't tried them yet but I did make out my shopping list to try several.

Mine doesn't have a brand name on it. I got it for 14.99 at Kohl's last September. You don't really need to spend alot for one.

I am interested. I downloaded the book on my kindle. I am an emotional eater and it always seems to derail my efforts to loose weight.

I always sneak stuff in my purse, mostly because I'm too cheap and the popcorn and soda is crazy expensive. Usually I have a bottle of water and a granola bar or small bag of something, True story, I was in a theater one afternoon and saw a lady pulled 2 Starbucks Frappe's out of her purse.

I try to keep my carbs between 50-80. Most days are veggies and turkey or chicken. I am doing it to get my blood sugar in control, but I have been losing at a pretty steady pace. To be honest I have had a few days where It was hard to get my calories up to 1200 so I added some cheese, nuts and cook with olive oil. You can…
