  • Are you talking about your MFP settings or your BodyMedia (KiFit) settings? All you need to do is log into your Ki Fit activity manager and connect your MFP account through the app gallery. Ki customer services will be able to help if you have any problems.
  • HRM are certainly not the best way to ACCURATELY know what calories you're burning - that is nonsense. You only have to look at the clinical studies that measure calorie expenditure, most use BodyMedia, none use Heart Rate. Heart Rate Monitors are good for one thing and one thing only - MEASURING HEART RATE!
  • If you ask BodyMedia they will tell you not to wear it on your leg. The algorithms they use are calibrated for the armband being worn on your upper left arm. If you want a proper answer I recommend you ask BodyMedia customer service :)
  • The fitbit isn't actually as accurate at Ki Fit - the Ki Fit is clinically proven to be accurate, whereas there is nothing to back up the fitbit...
  • Hi! BodyMedia is sold in the UK as KiFit. It should come up if you google bodymedia uk, or alternatively this is their website www.kiperformance.com Hope that helps!
  • Have you seen the deal that Ki have on at the moment? I paid full price for mine a few years ago, but it has been the best investment ever, so important to be accurate with these things
  • The Ki Fit will be compatible with MFP just as BMF is. They have a pretty good deal on at the moment too, which I keep seeing when I log into my account
  • They try to stop you having a BodyMedia FIT subscription in the UK because there is a seperate UK service. It is called Ki Fit and is the BodyMedia technology but with a UK food database and UK language.
  • Did you ever get a KiFit in the end? I have one and have used it for years. It's great and it makes such a difference to have something accurate. Things like fitbit and fuelband are just glorified pedometers and work on basic calculations - whats the point of having the data if it isn't accurate. Anyway if you have any…
  • Do you not think it would be better to be knowledgeable about a product before you persuade people not to buy it? The figures you quote about the accuracy are just wrong. The technology is considered by many experts as the most accurate body monitor in the world and comparible to indirect calorimetry. If you are able to…
  • As Nnekaschild mentions, the BodPod is actually considered the gold standard for body composition analysis. If you go to their website you can see the kind of organisations who have them, mainly universities, hospitals, professional sports teams and some military bases. In the UK there are places where you can get them…
  • I've seen on the BodyMedia site I think that you shouldn't wear it on your leg for cycling. I'm a Ki Fit user and I love it. What really impresses me is its accuracy and the fact it takes into account so much more than just movement in calculating calorie burn. I always end up arguing with people who have other things like…
  • Gpoitras, I would be interested to know where you had your RMR test done. I have also had an RMR test done and it was no more accurate than my Ki Fit. Considering you've never used a Bodybugg or a Ki Fit are you really in a position to give advice to other people about it. If you look at their site you can see that it is…
