Anytime you use canned veggies, dump them in a strainer and run water over them to get rid of most of the sodium. Fresh is the best because they retain more of thier nutrients and they don't have nearly as much sodium. You can also do this with canned tuna and chicken. 1 cup of cottage cheese and a fruit cup! Its got plenty of protein and will keep you full! Or, you can quickly microwave an egg (or egg whites) stirred with a dash of milk in a bowl, toast a low fat english muffin and make a homemade and lowfat egg & cheese mcmuffin. :)
