I love Doctor Who. So, I picked his impossible incarnation -- the 14th.

Hi! I'm Jamie. Right now I live in Lawrenceville, and work downtown. My big undertaking is the marathon this weekend.

Your shoes may not fit well.
-
Your pace will improve with the more miles you run, so if you want to run farther, run farther. Don't worry about speed for a while. it will come.

Minimalist / barefoot runner here -- I tend to run in the streets (if no cars, of course) because macadam / asphalt is softer than concrete, and with little to no cushioning on my feet I notice that.

Monkey butt powder is your friend, so are wicking materials, but trust me, unless you are leaving the machines soaked in your salty leavings, no one in the gym cares. They are doing their own thing, and all of us have been there. But I know the feeling. I hate seeing that 'triangle' of me soaked through in gym clothes!…

You are a runner when you run. Welcome to the fold (I like to call myself a common jogger, but there's a long story behind that!). You are doing the right thing by getting shoes fitted, but as one of the posters said you might want to consider minimalist / barefoot -- which is how I have run injury free for the last year.…

MFP tells me 1200, and I try to stick around there, unless I'm running and am famished.

I know exactly what you mean. It makes me much more introverted than I normally am, which is already nearly to the awkward point!

I'm so happy knitting and crocheting are my hobbies. . . .

Oh, Okay. You're right. I totally miss my boobs.
-
I think the only thing I really miss is that I feel cold quite a bit more frequently now, but it's not too bad, since my body will produce heat at a moment's notice if I start moving (the benefits of moving a lot more I guess!). Other than that, nothing. I love what I eat, I enjoy what I do, and I can't say I'd ever go…

What really helped me through hunger was grazing on lots of green stuff -- raw spinach (splash of vinegar if you can't do raw), celery - and to mix it up carrots. Also, a lot of times when we feel hungry it's actually due to dehydration, so listen to everyone who is suggesting more water. YOU CAN DO THIS!

I needed that laugh!

I'm losing about 15 pounds on my journey, anyone can feel free to add me for extra support!

Bump up because this dude rocks, and I love reading his posts!

I'll support you! You can do it!
